I still don't know why I couldn't sleep. T texted at 11 and by 11:10 the conversation was done! I slept at like what, 1? It was 8 o' clock and I still felt dizzy.
I had gone with Nick and Avi to their place that evening after we came back from KRI. They reduced talking with their Dad. First, I thought, it was maybe because they didn't want him to know from their faces that they were hiding something. But, as days passed, I realized it was Nick. He kind of started keeping himself away from Uncle. Avi always followed everything Nick did. In that one thing, Avi was kind of immature. He had this thing that his brother always being right! And he actually was. But, this was becoming too much. Nick and Uncle were best of friends and now, they hardly talk more than 50 words a day. What even? Uncle will definitely know something's going on. I have to talk to Nick! Maybe a little before we go to T's place, I could. Yes that would be right!
We decided to meet up at 1 o' clock. Until then, we had to do the tasks assigned to us by our Leader, Mr. Tanav. He kind of impressed everyone with his leadership skills. He knew who's good at what, and gave them their tasks accordingly.
I had to talk to Professors who were there since the day the Institute started. I got contact numbers of 3 of them yesterday via the college website. They all seemed quite young and very determined in their goal. Their major goal was to make a village like Ronagpur a well known one. Their rules were quite different from other research institutes. They followed international standards too. The age limit was a great factor there. There was none! They said, to research, all you need is ideas, determination and work, age never really matters. And if you see the list, this institute had researchers younger that us! Avi did do a great job in searching for this Institute. We will learn a lot from it.
At 12:30 p.m. Avi and Nick were home. As usual, they came in without even ringing the bell and went directly to the kitchen to check what Mom cooked. If it was something that they liked, they would eat it without even asking.
"Wonder what'll happen today!" said Avi, eating the chilli chicken Mom cooked. These boys eat so much!
"At least we'll know what the papers say." said Nick, scrolling over the papers in his hand.
"Are you talking to Uncle, yet? He must be really worried!" I asked Nick.
"Yes, I am. He talked to me yesterday about my weird behaviour and I realized, I was being too obvious. So, we good now. No point in being angry with him for no reason. So I decided first I will know about KRI, and then decide how I am going to be with him."
"Thank God you realize it now at least. I was worried Nick. I didn't want him to know anything before we even find out real facts." I forgot that he was always the sensible one. Everyone loses track. It's all about finding it back again.
"Yeah you are right! Now get ready we have some facts to collect."
We left at 12:55. Everyone were already there.
"Let's sort out what we found now about our new Institute, shall we?"
We sorted everything out and it seems we actually did some research here. Everyone were proud of each other. Nick went to his college as he had some lecture in the afternoon. He said that he'd be here at 3:30 p.m. We kind of finished our work by 3. We then asked some of the teams how they were doing with their project. To our shock, some of the teams left to their respective Institutes already. Especially the ones that chose the North Indian Institutes.
"Guys, be a little polite, okay? I mean no sarcasm and no kidding around him." T was blabbering since 15 minutes while we waited for Nick. He came at around 3:35. We all hopped in. This time, Hastha joined.
