chapter 11

Isobelle caught up to me and stopped me from walking away further. I tried escaping. She put her hands on my shoulders and gave a force to stop me. I held both her arms and tried pushing them away.

"Listen to what I have to say, Michael. I don't want to loose anything else. I've lost too much." she said, taking deep breaths.

"Why don't you like sharing this misery to someone then?" I asked.

"I'm scared."

"Scared? Of what?"

"Of people."

"Liam?"

"Ya, Liam."

"Was he someone important to you?"

"Someone I did the impossible for."

"You loved him that much?"

"Yes but....."

"But what?"

"He played with my feelings. He did because he had a bet with his friends."

"How could he....."

"He was falling for me at some point of time but he din't want to come to conclusions so fast. He dumped me......" I could see that pain in her eyes. Her face was filled with suffering. I wish I was that close to her that I could know how she felt inside. She looked weak and pale. Her happiness was entirely gone.

"I'm sorry."

"You shouldn't be. It was not entirely his fault either."

"What do you mean?"

"If I wouldn't blindly fall in love, I wouldn't be in this situation. Now i'm scared. Scared of people. Scared of relationships." I knew she was uncomfortable with me but right now she needs someone and i'm going to be that someone no matter what. I put my arms around her, wrapping her tightly. I could feel her breath on the bare skin of my lower neck. Her tears made my skin moist. Her chest was against mine. My face was above hers and I gently kissed her forehead to show my support for her.

It was the first time i've been this close to Isobelle and it felt good. We've known each other for sometime but here is were we start to know each other. If we're going to be friends we need to know ourselves better. I know how it is to be away from your love, i've felt it. It hurts. Hurts alot....

She pulled herself away and wipped her tears. "I'm sorry, I spoiled our day out."

"Who said it's over? As long as there is daylight, we enjoy." I said. I took her hands and pulled her to the carnival once again.

We had ice-cream at a cafe. We did karaoke together. We played bumping cars. We tried shooting balloons to get vouchers but eventually failed. We did a little of bowling. We played many video games and got lots of goodies.

When the sun was about to set, we went to a lake side and sat on the lately pruned grass. The light rays of sunlight was imprinted on our skin. The sun was almost down while I noticed how close I was to her. I put my arms around her waist to make her even closer. She was warm and fuzzy. I never wanted to leave but I guess it's just proscriptive.
