Unexpected Farewell

Woo Bar, Gwangjin-gu Seoul
Instead of going to the restaurant Chanyeol change place last minute and choose other places for their dinner, Eunji received text message from him and without saying anything change her car direction go to Woo Bar. Chanyeol arrived 15 minutes earlier at the bar ordered himself a drink while waiting for Eunji to come. He drank 3 glass of tequila in less than 10 minutes, keep looking at his watch but still no sign of Eunji who is already half an hour late. He ordered one more glass and by the time the waiter serve him Eunji finally arrived and take a seat in front of him, Chanyeol who is already half drunk try to control himself in front of her. He don't want Eunji to know about his drinking habits, she must be angry when she knows it.
Eunji: sorry I'm late.
Chanyeol: (look again at his watch) hurmm..30 minutes late.
Eunji: sorry..you change place at the last minute, took me extra 15 minutes to come here (smells alcohol from Chanyeol).
Chanyeol: if you said so..can we order now?
Eunji: (nodded) what happened to him? Seems like he is not in the mood or something.

Done ordering the food both just keep quiet, the atmosphere a little bit awkward between them...
Eunji: how are you?
Chanyeol: I'm good..
Eunji: did you go to your office?
Chanyeol: yea, it's been a week now.
Eunji: I see.. I guess you've been busy with your work.
Chanyeol: I keep myself busy and try not think about other things.
Eunji: how's Jimin?
Chanyeol: he's doing good busy with his college stuffs and so on.
Eunji: how about you?
Chanyeol: me? what do you mean? (frown)
Eunji: are you doing good to yourself?
Chanyeol: (silent)
Eunji: you've been quiet since the last time I saw you, I think more than a week now you didn't text or call me. Are you okay? I worried about you.
Chanyeol: I'm good, look at me (put a big smile on his face) I'm fine, don't worry about me.
Eunji: (still not fully satisfied with Chanyeol) okay, glad to see you okay now.

Their conversation being interrupted by the waiter who is serving them food on the table, before he leave Chanyeol stop him by ordering 1 more glass of tequila. Chanyeol start to eat his dinner, Eunji on the other side observed him from earlier.
Eunji: can I say something?
Chanyeol: sure..
Eunji: you still drink aren't you?

Chanyeol stopped eating when Eunji asked him the question, he's been hiding something from her, what she don't know is for the past 1 week he's been nonstop drinking again after he saw her at the cafe the other day with Taehyung. He is hurt, jealous and angry with her but only keep to himself. It surprised him when Eunji suddenly call him last night, his heart is aching but still he misses her so much. All this time he's been holding himself not to call her because he knows what will happen to her when he keeps on contacting Eunji. It will ruin her relationship with Taehyung and Chanyeol doesn't want that to happen.
Eunji: yah..I'm asking you, answer me.
Chanyeol: (sigh and hold his anger) Yes, so what?

Eunji feeling angry and upset with Chanyeol rude behavior he never act like this especially to her and somehow it hurts her feeling when he answered her questions that way.
Eunji: I told you to stop drinking and not to get yourself drunk anymore, you not even listening to me.
Chanyeol: what could be wrong? drinking alcohol and get myself drunk, I like it. No, I loved it! (Cynical smile on his face).
Eunji: (starting to feel annoyed by Chanyeol) it will not solving your damn problems, you know that!
Chanyeol: of course! But at least it makes me forget the stinging pain in here (pointed his heart).
Eunji: what is your problem? Tell me...

That question shut him up for a while he doesn't know what to answer her because of course the main problem here is Chanyeol himself, he was angry at himself for not able to express his love, his feelings to Eunji. He forgot about Taehyung but seeing them both at the cafe last week change everything, 1 year ago he runaway to US in order to forget her but his heart too stubborn to get a rid of Eunji because his love for Eunji too deep and he loves her so much. The other problem is because of recently his dad just passed away and Chanyeol still can't fully accept that his dad not around anymore. Also feeling stressed out with work back in the office which is 2 of the big projects have to delayed because of main sources problem, it all mixed up and end up Chanyeol is getting back to his bad habit which is drinking alcohol.
Chanyeol: I'm fine...
