I left the place, very far away. I left everything that hurt me, outside and inside. I had to relieve myself of the pain that just happened, forget everything. I could never return to the village, not after what they did to my family. My parents, my sisters, my brethren, all gone, murdered by them. Those inhuman beasts who call themselves lawful knights, with their shiny, master crafted armour, their noble attitudes and their emblem; a five-pointed star, encircled by numerous brown trees. This was the sight any regular peasant feared.
It was not my choice. I had to do what I had to do. I know it crossed my own morals' line, but there was nothing I could do. I was forced into submission. And especially after what they did to my family. Even my grandmother, living in a nearby village received pain that should have been inflicted only upon my soul.
I was the only survivor, but I did not fight. I barely tried defending them. It's all my fault, but my destiny had already been written. I made this decision of fearing like a coward, and I can't go back and change the past. I must live on with what happened, maybe not a life worth living. I didn't even think of what they went through. Well, not until now anyway... I can't tell you what they went through, the sight was too gruesome to describe. It's always tough to think that humanity could lower itself down so much. I hope they can finally rest in peace.
