~ Park Maxlyne ~"Oppa, where are you going?" I asked my older brother, Park Jimin. It was already 11 p.m. and I just caught him sneaking out the door.
He turned to my direction in surprise and sighed in relief when he saw that it was only me. What, did he expect a ghost? He grinned at me and walked towards me.
"To my best buddy's house. Don't worry, I'll be back before dawn." He said and winked at me. I just nodded and made my way to the kitchen. He followed me and held my hands.
"Please don't tell mom. Please dongsaeng." He pleaded. I removed my hands from his grasp and reached for a glass of water. "Sure. But if you're not back and mom asks for you over the phone tomorrow, I'm telling her the truth." I told him.
He grinned at me again and ruffled my hair. I swatted his hands in annoyance before drinking. "Thanks dongsaeng~ By the way, why are you still awake?" He asked me even though he knew the reason why.
"Nightmare." I answered him nonchalantly. He frowned and I saw worry in his eyes. I avoided eye contact and decided to wash the glass I used.
"The same one?" He asked again and I just nodded. I'm really uncomfortable about his subject since I've been having the same nightmare ever since the accident that happened to the both of us years ago. I don't even remember what accident it was.
"Alright. Sleep tight dongsaeng. I'll be going now." Jimin oppa told me after the long silence between us. He must've sensed that I was uncomfortable with the subject. He kissed my forehead before leaving.
I sighed as I put the glass inside the cabinet. I went back to my room and jumped on my bed. I stared at the ceiling as I reminisced the nightmare I had a while ago.
It was terrifying. Houses are destroyed everywhere. Children are dying. Many people— scratch that, vampires were brutally slaughtered everywhere. A crying boy. A stabbed woman. It was in the nineteenth century.
A prophecy. Traitors. Few survivors. And... Me when I was four. Or was it me? Or my great-grandmother? I was always told that I look like her. She or I protected the little boy. They were running through the woods and they successfully escaped. The little boy was a vampire.
They grew up and got married and had a child, but the guy died. I somehow cannot see his face clearly now that he is now grown up but I saw his child form perfectly fine. The guy died while he was protecting his family from the traitors that slaughtered his hometown years ago. The wife and child escaped.
It was really strange. Why vampires? There's no such thing as creatures like those, right? Maybe I'm just being delusional. There was no way that my nightmare happened in real life. I shook my head and went back to sleep.

As soon as I exited the house, I dashed towards my porsche and drove towards my best buddy's mansion. The text I received earlier came from one of my friends, Jungkook, and it seemed urgent.
