•Chapter Three•

~Kim Taehyung~

<Flashback>

I rushed outside the convenience store only to be greeted by the dark and empty street. I frantically looked around for the rogue and the girl but they were nowhere to be found. I calmed myself down as I amplified my vampire senses. Tsk. Is this what Yoongi hyung meant about saving a life?

And I found them. They were not far from here, in a narrow and secluded alleyway. I don't smell any blood so that means she hasn't been bitten yet. I rushed to the place using my speed and was really surprised at what I saw.

The girl, was holding a swiss knife while glaring at the creature with red glowering eyes who was hungrily looking at her. I saw blood drip from his neck and I silently congratulated her for a job well done. But the wound was so shallow and as I checked the girl's casualties, there was none. But what I really noticed was the intensity in her eyes. It was as if it was a violent flame and one touch could turn you into ashes. There were hints of confusion and fear in her eyes but the will to survive has reigned.

The both of them noticed me and the rogue took a step backward in fear. I secretly smirked. It seems it knows my identity. The girl saw this so she stabbed him in the stomach before running towards me and hid behind my back. I looked at her in surprise and she was really cute standing there behind my back, holding her breath with scared eyes. But as she noticed my stare, she returned to her cold self and glared at me.

"Stop staring. Do something about that wild vampire." She hissed.

I chuckled. "Is this how you thank me?" I joked. Although I was joking, I can't help but notice how she used the term vampire. Is she aware of our world? Or was she smart enough to notice the symptoms that the person that assaulted her was not normal?

She scoffed. "You haven't even done anything yet. Prove your worth and I might consider giving you a proper thank you for this, Mr. High Ranking Vampire." She smirked. I stiffened as I looked back at her. And how would she know that?

"Would you stop with that stupid look on your face? You really think I wouldn't notice the way how that wild vampire cowered in fear at your very prescence?" She murmered but she wasn't looking at me. "And now THAT WILD VAMPIRE HAS SUMMONED HIS SQUAD! DO SOMETHING!"

True enough, while we were talking, the rogue had called a few of his friends to attack us. "Stay back." I whispered and she did. She started walking back to the convenience store in a hurry. The rogues noticed her but I stopped them.

"And where do you think you're going?" The rogues stopped on their tracks as they looked at me. "You're not going anywhere as long as I'm here" I murmered before activating my ability. I stared at them with my glowing crimson eyes.

"Kneel."

They kneeled, just like I said. But it wasn't in their own will. I was controlling them. They were looking at me as if begging me to stop this. I smirked at them. "Now choke yourselves until you suffocate and die." Their hands traveled to their neck and started stangling it. Well, this should do the trick.

I stepped out of the alleyway and left the rogues alone. I walked away until I was infront of the convenience store. I made sure my eyes reverted back to brown before entering. Inside, I saw the feisty girl nonchalantly sitting on the table I was sitting on earlier, stirring her own cup of coffee. Seriously, I can't believe this girl.
