Carlos De Vil POV

I was walking with Dude around campus.

"Girl talk, crushed it." Dude said and I chuckled.

"Well, I guess I probably won't be able to ask Heidi to Cotillion." I sigh

Dude stops and I stop as well and look down at him and Dude sits.

"Well, you should ask her. If she does not like you, then she is not the one for you." Dude said to me and I smiled.

"You really are a mans best friend." I said petting Dude on his head.

Me and Dude walked to the Enchanted Lake and I saw Heidi sitting down on a rock, waving her hand with blue fire on her hand. I sigh and I look down at Dude.

"Go talk to her." Dude whispered, sitting down. "I'll be right here."

"Okay." I whispered back and I walk to Heidi.

Heidi POV

I was sitting on a rock, waving my hand around, with blue fire on my hand. I sigh and I waved the fire away from hand and then I heard someone behind me.

"Heidi?"

I turn around and I see Carlos walking towards me.

"Hey." I said, bringing my knees to my chest, wrapping my arms around my legs.

"Can I ask you something?" Carlos said, playing with his hands.

I look at him and I get up from the rock and I cross my arms.

"Sure." I said.

"Okay, Heidi, I know the both of us are not together but I want to ask you this." Carlos said and I nodded for him to keep going. "Would you, Heidi, be my date, for Cotillion?"

I smiled and I responded.

"I would love too, Carlos. But I'm not so sure about it though." I said, frowning a bit.

"What do you mean?" Carlos asked

"I mean, everything we've been through so much back at the Isle and I think we should just go to Cotillion as...." I said. "friends."

Carlos looks at me with sadness in his eyes and he nods.

"Okay." Carlos said. "Well, I guess I'll see you at the Cotillion."

"Yeah." I nodded and Carlos walked away.

I sigh and I could tell by Carlos walking away from me with sadness, I feel like I really mess up. I made a little blue fire from my hand and waved it around a little bit.
