Hogwarts AU
I was 16 when first met her at Flourish and Blotts. I was there with my Mother, accompanying her while she looked around. It was my 6th year of school coming up, and she wanted to get some school books before the big crowds showed up. I saw her hair first, which hit my face as she turned around quickly.
"Gah-!" I yell. She turns and faces me, her brown eyes wide. She quickly freezes and apologizes.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed. She looked afraid, as if I'd yell at her.
"It's ok. Don't worry." I said calmly. It was then I noticed that we were all alone. She noticed too, and seemed to be totally calm now. She stuck her hand out to me.
"Pleasure to meet you. My name is Madalyn. Madalyn Suko." She said.
"Levi Ackerman."
She beamed. I noticed that she had some school books in her basket. She must have been shopping as well.
"What year are you?" I ask. She seemed to have spaced out at that time, because she looked a bit dazed.
"Oh, I'm a sixth year!"
"Me too. What house are you in?"
She seemed nervous at that. Her eyes darted away from me. Her brown hair swished from side to side as well.
"Hey," I say. She looks up. "Let's say it at the same time."
She smiles and nods.
"1...2...3..." We say.
" Gryffindor! Slytherin!"
We froze.
I was a Gryffindor. She was a Slytherin. We were supposed to be sworn enemies.
"Um, I guess I'll see you later then.." She mumbled. She turned away, and started walking.
"Wait!" I grab her arm, and she swivels her head around to see me.
"I'll see you at the start of term." I say. She smiled at me, which made me feel queasy. I never really talked to a girl other than Hanji, but she would never count. She had Erwin, one of my best friends.
"I'll see you then, Levi." And with that, she walked off.

(August 15th)
"Leviiiii!" An annoying girl yelled behind me. I turn and see two figures. One was a girl, with a messy brown ponytail and brown eyes. Her Gryffindor robes were an absolute mess, with her glasses askew.
The second was a boy. He had bushy brown eyebrows, slick blind hair swept to the side and piercing blur eyes. His robes, bearing the Gryffindor crest, were neatly ironed, unlike the girl next to him.
But, hey, they're my friends.
They catch up to me, and start chatting away about their summers. I had a lot of encounters with them, spending most of my summer with them. But the last few weeks my mind hasn't let go of that girl from the book shop.
Hanji and Erwin never found out about her, and I'm glad they didn't. I didn't want to imagine what they would say if I told them she was one of our "enemies."
The Great Hall never looked so welcoming. The candles levitated in midair, never ceasing to surprise me. The magic always amazed me here at Hogwarts. Even the castle seemed alive at times. But I wasn't looking at the walls or ceilings. I was looking for HER.
Hanji and Erwin thought I was just looking around after being gone for a summer. But the walked through the Hall door and took their seats while I froze. She was walking down the stair case alone, her green and black robes swishing against the stone.
