Lost Cause

Chapter 2

Blueberry stepped into his house seeing Papyrus on the couch. Blueberry protectively wrapped his arms around Error hugging him tightly to his chest. Blueberry walked in front of Papyrus since the only way upstairs was in front of the couch. "What you got there bro?" Papyrus asked not taking his eyes off the TV. "Nothing important." He said climbing up the stairs. Going to his room he put Error in his bed and kissed the top of his head "You could have just told me it was Error." Papyrus asked. Blueberry wrapped his arms protectively around Error. "You are not allowed to harm him." Blueberry said sternly. It surprised his younger brother but Papyrus shrugged it off. Blueberry knew that Ink must of told Papyrus as seeing him walk out puffing out smoke from his cigarette. Blueberry sighed quietly closing his door and going down stairs to make tacos.

Ink had already gotten everyone into Underswap and had asked Blueberry where Error was and was told that he was sleeping.

Ink was trying to get everyone settled down, he asked Blueberry to go get Error. Stepping into his bedroom, he saw Error slowly waking up. Error yawned before looking up at Blueberry and smiling sleepily. "Daddy." He said tiredly. Blueberry blinked at what Error just said but mentally shook it off. Error saw him as his dad, how cute. "There are people down stairs who want to meet you." Blueberry said helping Error out of the bed. "Really? Who?" Error held Blueberry's hand tightly. "A lot of people." Blueberry said walking Error downstairs. Error could get a glance at how many monsters awaited him, it only made him glitch out. He shook his head hiding behind Blueberry.

Hiding behind Blueberry he was glitching like crazy. "So, uh, this is Error, come on out don't be shy." Blue said feeling Errors small hand yanking on his pant leg. Error slowly peeked from behind shivering in fear. Blueberry knelt down whispering in Error's nonexistent ear. Error slightly smiled and squeezed Blueberry's hand. "I'm, uh, Error and it's um nice to meet ya even if I can't remember any of ya." Error said exactly what he was told to say. Blueberry patted his head but worry washed him over when Error's stomach growled causing him to wince. Blueberry took Error to the kitchen and started feeding him a taco. Error didn't know what it was but on instinct bit into it.

The Sans' in the doorway could not believe anything they had seen and are seeing. The Destroyer of Worlds innocent and a child. Orbit (Outertale Sans) had sighed and sat down beside Error and forced a smile. Error swallowed a bite and looked over at Orbit and adjusted his glasses. "Hey kid, I'm Orbit." He said rubbing the top of Error's skull who just smiled and nuzzled his hand. "Woah, I love your jacket." Error said as stars formed in his eyes. Orbit chuckled liking this Error. "Thanks, ya know you used to come to my Universe all the time?" Orbit made small talk with this child. "I did?" Error leaned up towards Orbit causing Orbit to chuckle. "I don't know why but you never destroyed my universe." Orbit said testing the kids memory seeing if he really did loose everything. "Destroy, why would I want to hurt anyone you haven't done anything to hurt me." Error said confused and looked up at Orbit. Orbit was right to trust this kid he didn't act harmful, and he didn't want to kill anyone. Orbit patted Errors skull glancing at the crack on Error's skull. Error looked to his other side and noticed Blueberry glaring daggers at Orbit. Blueberry put Error in his lap and kissed his forehead. "Daddy's so nice." Error stated hugging his father figure. Everyone chuckled at the name Error had called Blueberry. "Daddy, Why is he staring at me?" Error clung to Blueberry's shirt pressing himself against his chest as well. Blueberry looked up but saw nothing and just assumed it was the voices. "Hey, how about we all have a sleep over?" Blueberry exclaimed as Error smiled even though he had no idea what a sleep over was. "What's a sleep over?" Error asked looking up at Blueberry. "It's when a lot of people stay the night at our house and we play fun games." He explained making stars glitter in Error's eye sockets. "Woah really, that sounds so cool!" Error was acting like a child even though he was a child. But... if he were a child and hadn't lost his memories would he act like a child?

Blueberry chuckled and had let Error go so he could explore.

Papyrus lazily sat on the couch pretending to sleep, but when he felt someone poke his face he immediately opened his eyes only to be face to face with Error. Error was smiling happily at him and giggled. "What's your name?" Error asked innocently. "I'm Papyrus but they call me Carrot." He said as Error moved away from his face. "I'm Error, daddy's talking with the other adults." Error explained. Papyrus chuckled at the word 'daddy'. Error was cute like this but no could ever get used to having him being so kind. Error turned around looking at the TV and immediately became interested in the program. Papyrus turned him around completely and laid his back on his chest wrapping his arm around him. He starting slipping into the program too.

Error had fallen asleep as did Papyrus but when Ink tried to take Error away from Papyrus so that he could meet everyone else he would shift in his sleep and wrap his arm protectively around Error who just turned over and clung to Papyrus' hoodie. Ink huffed seeing as if he kept going he wasn't going to get anywhere.

Papyrus woke up to a still sleeping Error clinging to his hoodie. He smiled rubbing Errors skull causing him to wake up slowly. Then Papyrus had a great idea. "Your Uncle Carrot is glad to see you awake." He said smirking. Error smiled tiredly liking the name. "Uncle Carrot, are you gonna come to our sleep over?" Error sat up rubbing his eyes and yawning. "Sure, I don't have anything else to do." Carrot said, patting Error's head. "Hey Error you want a snack?" He looked over seeing his daddy with a plate of mini tacos. He gave the plate to Carrot who fed Error. Carrot liked this Error, and would protect him just so he wouldn't end up back to how he was.

He noticed the time and yawned. "You need some pajamas on." Papyrus stated, feeding another mini taco to Error. "I'm back and a bought pajamas for Error and other clothes." Error looked beyond the couch and saw a skeleton in a blue jacket. He looked at the puppets on the table and gasped. "You're that puppet I have!" He said excitedly. The skeleton glanced at the puppet on the table and looked at Error's happy face and chuckled. "I guess I am." He said going over and patting Errors skull stopping at the crack. "How come no ones has healed that for ya?" He asked. Error looked up feeling the crack on his head and shrugged his shoulders. "I rather you wrap it." Blueberry said pointing a wooden spoon at the skeleton. The skeleton nodded and took Error up stairs. "How did you get it?" He asked only to have Error shrug. "All I remember is seeing a giant stick." He tapped his chin but still held onto the skeletons hand.

Going into Error's daddy's room, the skeleton looked in the closet and found the first aid kit and soon was wrapping up Error's wound. "I'm Undertale Sans by the way, but everyone else calls me Blue." He said. Error stared at him finding it cool to have a friend look like a puppet. "You look so much cooler than my puppet." Error said honestly. Blue stopped putting everything away and looked up at Error's cheerful expression. "Really?" He asked starting to close the box. "Yeah, you talk and you helped me, and your my friend, right?" Error explained. Blue froze at hearing something he never thought he'd ever that hear come out of Errors mouth kid or not.

He was nothing like the Destroyer of Worlds.

He mentally shook his head and put the kit up. He picked Error up who just smiled burying his face into Blue's jacket. Blue almost jumped at the feeling but felt the happiness and cheer coming from Error's soul. He couldn't help but smile. He went down stairs with Error in his arms. "You want Carrot to put you in the new PJ's I got ya?" Blue asked causing Error to look up at Blue with stars in his eyes and nod his head.

While from a far, someone was watching them.
