Lost Cause

Chapter 16

Error knew exactly who it was and screamed hiding behind Orbit. "What do you want oil slick?" Orbit spat at the black demon who smiled menacingly looking at Error. He wanted Error, he was adorable when he was scared. He might be even better in his bed. (There will be no lemons or smut.) Nightmare chuckled as Dust used his magic to dragged Error over to them. Error, knowing what this thing could do, screamed and clawed at the ground wanting to get out of the demon's menacing hold. It, as predicted, unsuccessful and only led to Dust accidentally letting go of Error and flinging him a crossed the ground like a doll and knocking him out. Orbit looked over at Erry who was also unconscious and flashing in and out rapidly.

This only made him mad.

Why is it that every time he feels a spark of happiness something has to put that spark out? He'd guessed that nobody liked fire and the warm feeling it gave people. But Error must have loved fire because he didn't leave.

He summoned his gaster blaster and- "I wouldn't do that if I were you, you wouldn't want to hurt you little sweetheart here would you?" Nightmare held the unconscious Error in front of him and chuckled and venom dripped from his words. Orbit got rid of the blaster and stared at the black slimed being with a look that said 'let him go asshole'. Nightmare left as the body of Erry slowly dragged behind but he didn't make it through the portal and his connection was cut off with the teen. Erry stopped flashing and was real (you get my drift). Orbit stared at Erry and out of instinct ran over checking the glitchy skeleton for injuries. "Kid..." he mumbled as he shifted in his sleep. He was dreaming, he and the kid had a connection, Orbit knew that.

But that connection was cut.

"Let's get you back to the house." Orbit hulked Erry into his arms as Erry whimpered from the bruises he had on his body. The cuts and broken bones on him only made him cry. He never felt this before so why now would it hit him so hard? Blood and dust dropped from his bones like crazy and it only worried Orbit. He regret what he did to Erry in the past and wished he could take it all back. He opened a portal and ran to the house as dust and blood only seemed to be coming from Erry faster. It wasn't but it seemed like it. "Stay with me Erry, please (they are gonna call him Erry so you guys don't get confused, or I don't get confused)." Orbit knew he couldn't die but he still worried for the poor skeleton. Suffering is worse than death.

He approached the house and fumbled with the door knob trying to open it with cold trembling hands. His hands were also covered in blood and dust. He  opened the door leaving the door knob covered in bloody and dusty finger prints. Everyone looked at the door seeing a Orbit and Erry in tears. Erry was crying in his sleep from the pain and Orbit was crying in concern an fear. "What happened? Where's our Error? Why is Erry not flashing?" Blueberry stood in the door way of the kitchen with tears in his eyes.

He lost is adorable baby, Error loved Blueberry like a dad. He called him dad just after he was saved. "Where's my son?" His voice was dark and menacing. "WHERE US MY SON?" He shouted the blue blue glow dimming and growing as it flared rapidly. Carrot stared at his brother shocked and stunned with his actions. "Baby blue dog bro calm down, I'm sure he's safe. Let's just get-"

"ERRY?!"

Error was turning to dust. No one thought that was possible.

Horror stood in the shadows with tears running down his cheeks as Dusts ghostly brother tried to comfort him. "I'm glad we finally got this brat. He has been getting free cookies since we've tried to get him. We finally got him alone." Nightmare said holding Error by the hood. Horror failed to safe his- "Hey Horror, how about we put this kid in a nice warm bed, and give him this." Nightmare held up a small glass tube with a cork and blood specks all over it. It had a glowing liquid in it that was bright blue and dark purple. It was crazy looking.

Horror sighed and almost too quickly took the tube from Nightmare and stuffed it in his pocket. He stared at the unconscious Error and wanted to slap Nightmare but held himself and gingerly took Error. He glanced at Dust who was glaring daggers at him.

Horror cracked a grin before going and put Errors in ones of the guest rooms. "Hey, guess what I found in the void Error?" Horror asked not expecting an answer. He pulled out two puppets from his pocket. It looked like Error and his... his brother. They were holding hands and smiling the day away. "I found it in one of those boxes you keep all your valuable stuff in, I left the box though." He noticed Errors glasses drooping from his closed eyes and quickly pushed them back. "There, that's better." He said stopping by at a door. "Here we are, sleep well okay, uh, I really don't want to give this to ya but if it will keep you safe then I have to." Horror opened the door to the room and laid Error on the bed. He took off his glasses placed the puppets under his hands and slowly poured the liquid into Errors mouth.

He was back to a tiny child. His clothes fit him him this time though.
