:-) Chapter 5 Party hardy

     when Mathew walked home it was only a matter of time before the party started. its 7:27 and Mrs.Stickler( Mathews mom) will be here with Mathew to pick me up at 7:30. Katrese was putting makeup on my when I felt my phone vibrate on the bed. it was Mathew texting me.

were on our way, hope your ready

"hurry up katrese there almost here!" I joked.

"you can't rush art."

"what do I look like a canvass to you." I stood and looked in my mirror. katrese put the sweater over my shoulders and I put it on. I smiled knowing that katrese would be happy. I put my black converse wedges on and stood up and heard katrese squeal then 2 seconds later I heard a horn honk.

"you'd better go,"

"bye, see yah later."

"have a good time. and tell me all about it!"

I walked down the stairs to the door.

"call me when your on your way!!" katrese yelled.

I got in the back seat and said my hello how are you doing and we where half way there. Mathew was telling all these jokes and me and Mrs.Stickler couldn't stop laughing.

we came to a halt in the car and we where at this big house.

"did you bring your bathing suit?" Mathew asked me.

"no,....oh yeah! I forgot! man!" I stomped my foot with an over reaction on the outside but sarcasm inside. I really did forget.

we walked inside and there where people running around, sliding down the stairs, eating pizza in the bathroom, there where two eighth graders kissing by the sink, the music was pop and there was a glass door where you could see the pool with about half of the pool filled with girls and boys playing chicken.

next thing I knew I left Mathew and went to go find Rico then I heard...

"OK everyone who wants to play truth or dare come to the living room and sit in a circle." it sounded like someone older... at least this party has adult supervision.

the older guy who I think was the one who yelled walked up the stairs with Rico following him.

"Rico!" I yelled. he turned and looked multiple ways then he locked eyes on mine.

"hay! you look great!" he yelled.

"what?!" I could barely hear him over the loud music!"

"wait a sec!" he walked over to the radio and turned the music down.

"let's start this again, hay, you look great."

I smiled and looked at my feet."thanks."

"come play truth or dare with us." he pleaded.

" um-no thank you, i-"

"come on." he grabbed my hand and led me to the living room.

This party wasn't what I expected, well not that much. it was like a birthday party and I've seen everyone that's here. there was dancing, talking, food. Food! I'm starving.

me and Rico both sat on the couch in front of the TV while everyone else was already seated on the floor waiting to start. there was about 9 people playing. I could tell one just came from the pool because her hair was all wet. Maddie was in the game circle, she was wearing a pink dress with a gray leather jacket, and I wonder where Mathew was, he's supposed to be with her.
