Chapter One - Supermarkets Are Totally Normal.

"Wake up! They're here!" I sit bolt upright, slightly annoyed at the person who had interrupted me sleep. Wait, where am I? Last time I checked, I was in my bed. It looks like I'm now in a freaking super market.

Everything suddenly comes crashing back to me. Oh yeah. Last night, there were warnings on the TV about how we shouldn't leave out homes and stuff because there is cannibals on the loose. I'm not sure if that was part of a dream of something, but by the looks of things; it's possibly true.

I look up, and there is about thirty other people in the supermarket. Most of them have ran away, then up a set of stairs.

Why are they all going up there?

As I stretch my arms up above my head, I look around again. There is several windows, but they are all barricaded up with shopping trolleys and tons of other random shit - I can even see a bag of potatoes carefully wedged between two trolleys. Huh, how strange.

I suddenly realise what the man had said. 'Wake up, they're here!'

Curiosity washes over me as I stand up, and slowly walk to the windows. I peer through some of the trolleys, but I can't see anything. So, I walk to the door of the supermarket and gaze out. The door is barricaded too, but not as much as the windows. I wonder why.

Oh fuck. There's a face staring at me. It has half of a jaw, and the other one I can see there is no skin. It's eyes are dark red, like they're really badly blood shot - and it looks a bit like one of them zombies from 28 Days Later.

Shit, what if they are actual zombies? And this isn't a dream? That's freaking cool; yet pretty scary at the same time. I hope they are the kind of zombies that walk really slowly, and they are useless at trying to fight against a human.

Though what if they're not? I mean, what if they're like the kind that can run faster then any human can, and could break a human's wrist or something just by.. touching it?

Nah. Impossible. It's only a zombie. Zombie's aren't real.

Oh well. I guess I'll need some weapons, just in case. I wonder what I can get he-

Suddenly, I have an idea. I quickly move away from the door, and start to speed walk to the other side of the super market. Last time I was here, they had a meat counter down the other side. Maybe they have some meat cleavers and stuff.

Once I'm there, I'm right. They have meat cleavers. I pick up two of them, glad they're clean. That would be freaking disgusting if they had bits of blood on them, plus that would probably attract the zombie things.

I can't help but wonder if they are actually zombies. Like, what if they're not? They could be people from a drama school or something - trying to scare people. Or this could just be a dream.

Slowly, I go to the stair case that people were rushing up earlier. I've decided I'm just gonna go with them; to be on the safe side. That's what they do in most zombie films. The survivors are in groups and stuff.

Once I'm up at the top, I'm confused. There is nobody here. Just a door, that I've found leads out onto a roof top. The people couldn't have all went onto the roof top, and then just disappeared. That's a little bit weird.

I sigh and decide to just go and wait on the roof top. I'll call Danny, that's what I'll do. He's my best friend, and he's been so since we were really young. I'm sixteen now - him eighteen. It's pretty cool that we're still friends.

As I'm back on the roof top, I close the door again. Maybe some zombies will come upstairs, and try to eat me or something. That wouldn't be very good.

No shit, Sherlock.

I suddenly notice a crowbar lying on the ground. I go and pick it up, and then go and push it between the two door handles. This will be a better bit of protection, I hope. If it's not.. I'm probably screwed.

With a sigh, I walk to the edge of the rooftop. Holy shit. I'm really high off the ground, and there's no barriers or anything to stop me from just jumping off and killing myself - which, to be honest, I'd rather do then be killed by a zombie.

Carefully, I sit on the edge of the roof top and dangle my legs over the side of the building. I gaze down into the street, and I can see a man. It looks like he's covered in red paint, but it's probably blood.

I continue to look at him, and he's walking really slowly through the street. He's too far away for me to see if he is covered in blood - of if he's just got red hair, red clothes, a sun burn or perhaps a really fucked up fake tan.

He seriously looks like a zombie, though. Oh my god - I hope they are zombies. I could totally be like Alice from Resident Evil; and I'd totally kick ass.

Wait, what was that?

I just heard something at the door. What the fuck was that? Oh, there it is again. What if this is my first zombie kill? How epic. On a roof top. Right, here I go!
