Genovation; Chapter Five; Garden Riot

Josh nods. "Exactly," He mutters; quietly. "I didn't realise the garden was so .. big.. " Alex said suddenly- off subject. Josh rolled his eyes; and turned around. He walked to Danny, and kicked him in the leg. Then he kicked Kellin. He then went and nudged Ryan; but he didn't wake up Sky nor Luca. Alex gestured for them to come to the window- to see the zombies.

"We seriously need a name for the zombies." Danny whispered; going over to the window. Ryan snorted. "Oh, yes. Lets name them all separately; what about Jim? and.. Felicity? Or even JoeLynn?" He said, sarcastically. Nobody else replied. "He's sorta right though.." Kellin said. Alex nodded slightly. "What about .." She paused; then shrugged. Josh smiled. "Nerds." He said. He was joking. "Ooh, I like that." Alex said. The others decided to agree.

Danny had got a piece of chalk, and had drawn a box, that was meant to be the dimensions of the back garden. He'd also marked a bit for the shed; some for the trees, and a part for a swing set. "So we'll go downstairs.." He said; while he drew alot of stick-figure 'Nerds' amongst the garden. "And out the back door," He paused. "I'll team with Alex, you two go and you can aim from the window?" He said; pointing to Ryan. Kellin and Josh aggreed, but Ryan rolled his eyes.

They still hadn't woken up the kids; but Josh had went to Danny and his' secret gun stash. There is many guns there. Alex has her meat cleavers still- but she has put two pistols in either pocket with the meat cleavers, and it holding another two pistols in both hands. Danny has a very large gun, attached around his neck. Josh has a crossbow, Ryan has a biggish-sized gun and Kellin has his guns, still.

On the way downstairs they all see several 'Nerds' approaching the house; from the living room. "Dude! What the fuck?!" Alex says sharply; loading the two pistols. Meanwhile; Ryan has already got a 'camp' spot in the hallway, a perfect aim into the living room. Kellin's keeping his distance; but he's already show many...

Though Alex and Danny are all-in. They have ran towards all the Nerds,  killing as many as possible.  Alex can hear Sky and Luca squealing up in the attic. "Ryan!  Go quieten them!" Danny yells. Ryan obeys this; and runs up to the attic. When he's going up, one of the windows in the hall smashes, and arms of some Nerds lash at him. He dodges them, however, and continues to rush to the attic.

Alex's thrown away two pistols, because they had no ammo left. She's got another pistol; though. Josh has went back upstairs; and has somehow got onto the roof. He's killing many Nerds from the roof- some with his crossbow, others with some guns.  Kellin, on the other hand, is in the front porch; shooting at any Nerds that come close. 

When Ryan gets up into the attic, he sharply tells the children to quieten down, or he'll "feed them to the zombies." That does the trick, though, and shuts them up. He goes quietly back downstairs, locking the hatch in the attic so nothing can get in, and the kids can't get out. Once he's downstairs, he goes into the old folk's bedroom. "Quite down. Don't make any noise," He says; then leaves again and goes back to his space in the hall. Alex is at the window, though, chopping off as many arms as the can with her two meat cleavers.

Once she sees Ryan, she gives him a nod then leaves, and goes back into the living room. She can see Danny's being cornered by two zombies; really fat nerds in the dining room. His gun is jammed. Alex runs into the dining room, and jumps onto the table. Her feet make no noise as she runs accross the table; getting to the nerds. When she's at the end of the table, she jumps on the  zombie on the left of Danny. She slices off it's head with her meat cleaver, and it lands on the ground with a thud. She stamps on the Nerd, then chops off the others head. Danny's speechless. He doesn't say anything, but he pulls her into a hug. Kellin sees. He rolls his eyes, but doesn't do anything.

Alex pulls Danny's gun out of his hand; then takes out one of the pistols from her back pocket. She pushes it into his hand, then runs off to kill more Nerds.
