Nora's POV

Once my shift was over, I walked over to Reece's table where my son was busy talking.

"Come on Will. Time to get ice-cream."

Will and I walked out the door with the guys following us.

"Hey, come on. We'll drop you guys," Nathan said.

"Really, that's not required. It's only a 5 minute walk Nathan."

"Come on, I insist. And you can call me Nate, Lu- I mean Nora."

"Plus, we get to spend time with our nephew," Alex said grinning.

"Okay, I guess."

We walked over to their seven-seater car.

Aiden and Alex climbed in the back seat, and Nate took the middle one. There was no way I was letting Will sit infront, so I buckled him in and went and sat in the front seat.

In less than 2 minutes we had reached.

"Mommy, I want chocolate chip with lots and lots of colourful sprinkles," sang out Will.

Nate went to order with Will while the rest of us went to find a place to sit.

When they came back with our ice-creams Will took charge of the conversation never making it awkward or uncomfortable. He aimlessly chatted about his day, from his classmate's yellow shorts to the flying blue pigs he drew for me.

I didn't understand his recent fascination for flying pigs.

He had his school-bag with him so he took out the drawing and showed it to us. There were the 3 blue pigs which were of course flying. They were named Jumbo#1, Jumbo#2 and Jumbo#3.

"This is definately going on the fridge."

He beamed.

It was getting late, so I asked Reece to drop Will and I home.

I sat in the front seat and gave directions to Reece.

"Would you guys like to come up?" I questioned.

"Hell yeah!"

My apartment was on the sixth floor. It was spacious and airy. There were 5 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen.

Since, there was no need for so many bedrooms, I had converted one room into the Hobby Room as Will called it.

It was my personalized room. I had painted the walls myself. There was a guitar hanging on one of the walls. It also had a piano and a massive and sadly, overflowing bookshelf. No matter how hard I tried, there just wasn't enough room for all my favourite books. There was also some drawing supplies. It was my safe space.

There were 4 bedrooms- one was mine, another Will's and the other 2 were guestrooms which I didn't need.

When I opened the door with my keys, the first thing I saw was Sam sitting on the couch, watching T.V. and eating my ice-cream.

"Where have you been?!"

"What are you doing?!"

Both of us said at the same time.

"Do you have any idea how worried I was? You were supposed to be here 2 hours ago."

"You were worried? That's why you came into my apartment and were watching T.V. while eating my ice-cream?"

He looked down guilty. It wasn't like that I had left the apartment unlocked for Sam, it was that I had given him a key to my apartment which had its pros and cons. Sam in turn had given me a key to his an apartment as a gesture that I was free to come and go as I please.

"Sorry. I'll buy you another tub."

"You better."

After the drama was over, I introduced the guys. They seemed to get along well. All except Reece. I didn't know what his problem was?

"So, Lu- I mean, Nora, is he your boyfriend?" Nate asked.

I looked to Sam in disbelief.

"God, no. Can you imagine?! Ew!"

"Wow! I can just feel the love, Nora!"

"Sam, come on. I just meant that you're like my brother."

"Oh!" Aiden replied glancing at Reece.

The guys left shortly after. I collapsed on my bed replaying the day in my head and fell into a dreamless slumber.

And much to my dismay, I dreamt about Will's flying blue pigs.
