Kyra's p.o.v.

As I feel as if I was shaken by an unknown force, suddenly lurched forward.

I feel the wave of dizziness over throwing my state of mind.

"Kyra, Kyra dear, wake up its almost noon!" a lady's voice echoed from downstairs.

I didn't answer since I'm still a little dizzy from the sudden lurching. I slightly massage my forehead and slowly not feeling dizzy.

A knock on my door was heard.

"kyra dear, its almost noon, you have work to do" Lucy said.

Lucy Andrews, my put on adoptive mother, well kinda but she will be a great mother someday.

She was the most kindest person I've met. She is too kind that I felt pity for her to joi- never mind. Its a pity for her to have me.

I rub my eyes with my fist and said

"Good morning, Luce what time is it?" I said groggily.

"Its 11 almost noon, why don't you go downstairs and have a late breakfast?" She said with a smile.

"OK, I'll be down a bit, I'll just freshen up." I said standing up going to my ensuite bathroom.

"Sure sweety." After saying this she walked towards the door and go downstairs.

I grabbed a nearby towel and washed my face, then brushed my teeth then have a quick shower then took my work clothes and wore it, it was just a plaid pencil skirt with a t-shirt with the logo on it.

I got out of my room to the kitchen downstairs. I saw Andrew, Lucy's husband, watching TV which seems like another baseball game. I walked towards the dining table grab a plate and got some scrambled eggs and bacon.

"Kyra dear, we were planning on leaving tomorrow, you know work stuff and also I plan for us to have dinner at lorry anne's before we leave. " Lucy said while sitting beside me

"Yeah sure, why not." I said after I munch down some eggs.

"When does your shift end? We'll just fetch you there" Lucy said.

"Around 5 but you should probably get me by 6" I said savoring my last bacon.

I stood up and put my plate on the sink and washed my hands. I walked to my room upstairs and get my things, I also packed some clothes so that I can change when I'm done there. I took my not so useful phone with me, incase. then jogged towards the front door.

"I'm gonna go now, bye Luce, Andrew" I said before slamming the front door close.

I took my bike and drove towards the cafe called VeLo. I worked their for a month now. I took the opotunity after they said they hire students during the summer and they also give perks like free coffee.

"Kyra, just in time" Hailey, my work mate slash kinda friend, said.

she said I was her bestfriend but lets say i don't trust anybody, even her, but let her think that way.

I entered my card into the puncher and have it punched for attendance. I stood behind the cashier and took the orders.

after 2 hours, me and hailey switch places, I served the drinks and food while she manages the cashire.

A little while the place was not so buzzing anymore, she decided to chat.

"Schools almost there Ky, I wish we have many new hot classmates. I mean I'm getting sick and tired of the same boys in our class. Well except for Tyler though." She said with a dreamy sigh
