Beno POV

"I guess Im not allowed to get any sleep in my own damn house, who the hell keep calling my phone yo?" I asked the person on the other end of the phone, I didn't even look at the caller i.d.

"Man shut the fuck up. I need you to come help me with something right quick." Messiah. I wonder if she told him, if she was smart, she'd take it to the grave with her. But Messiah always did chase after the dumb bitches.

"What you need boss?" I wasn't gonna give myself up so I had to act natural. He wouldn't be asking for my help if he knew.

"I'm trying to set up the crib and stuff inside the baby room, Aaliyah don't know what she doing, come help me folk." I thought about it before I responded. Do I really wanna help this big head ass nigga? I should, don't want to look suspect about anything.

"I'm on my way, give me 10." I respond before hanging up the phone. I sat on the bed staring off into space for a few minutes before I started getting ready. I chuckled at the fact that I tried to set up my homie and now i'm about to go to his house to help set up a room for his jit and his baby mama. I'm really not shit.

When I got the his house I texted him to let him know I was outside. I a few minutes later I hear the locks being turned on the door and Messiah appearing in front of me. He stepped to the side and allowed me to come in, his gay ass was staring at me the whole time.

"Nigga what are you looking at?" I asked him. It wasn't weird for us to talk shit to each other so I knew he wouldn't take me seriously.

"Shut yo punk ass up and come on. The room over here." I followed behind him.

Messiah POV

I didn't know what I was about to do, or how I was going to do it. All I knew was that this nigga is leaving my house in a body bag.

When we got to the babies room, the crib pieces were spread out everywhere and Aaliyah was sitting on the floor reading the instruction manual. She really didn't know what she was doing. When she looked up, I could tell she got scared to see Beno. I hate how much he hurt her. Thinking about what went down and what possibly could've gone down with them makes my stomach hurt. I clench my jaws and ball up my fists, wanting to just knock him out right now, but I had to control myself or else this could go wrong.

"You can go lay down and rest baby, we got it," I said to her while helping her off of the ground.

"Yeah, we got it," Beno says while turning his head to the side with a smirk on his face. Lord knows how bad I want to spazz out.

Aaliyah kisses me on the cheek and whispers something into my ear before making her exit.

About 15 minutes of us putting the crib together in silence, I decided to see if I could get some information out of him.

"So how you think we should go about the Aaliyah situation? We can't just let it go." I looked up at him waiting for him to respond.

"Don't you think it's too soon? The streets still hot, really hot. Did she tell you anything about it?" He asks while looking down at his phone. He's so guilty and weak, can't even keep eye contact. It's my mistake for even having him on my team.

"It's never too soon when it comes to my family. And yeah, she described the guy, and you know her description kind of fits you." I say while pulling out my gun and pointing it at him.

"Aye bitch, put that shit down. I didn't have nothing to do with that." I watch as his eyes get glossy. I want to see how quick he folds under pressure.

"Who are you working with?" I ask while taking the gun off of safety.

"I don't know what you talking about bruh. We brothers, I wouldn't do no shit like that."

I stare at him for a few seconds before busting out laughing.

"I'm just playing man, I know you wouldn't do that to me." I put my gun up and start back working on the crib. He a bitch, but I knew I had to get inside his head. I also needed to know more from him, everybody involved had to go, not just him. This was gonna take longer than I wanted it to.

"That wasn't funny." He says while wiping his eyes.

"Nigga, are you crying?" I ask while twisting up my face. I'm honestly disgusted.

"Man nah. My eyes just irritated." He responded. Lying ass.

"But seriously, what you think we should do? I wish I knew who to go after. Aaliyah doesn't remember anything useful."

"Well, what does she remember?" He asks me. He's trying to see if he's caught or not.

"You remember picking me up from the hotel that day and I told you about the shop? She remembers it being connected to that. She told me that the son of the shop owner has feelings for her, but she didn't know his name." I respond to him, making sure to not break eye contact.

"The shop on Smith? Man, Jerry Walls owned that shop. He a grimy ass nigga." He says to me.

He so quick to fold, I'm not even pressuring him, he folding voluntarily. Sad excuse for a man.

"Jerry Walls? Do you know his son's name too?" I ask.

"Antonio. Antonio Walls. I used to hit licks with him back in the day when we were younger. He a cool dude, well he used to be. When his mama died he changed. Stopped caring about everything and everybody, the boy barely even liked his daddy afterward. She got shot by a police officer while trying to steal something for them to eat. The whole family turned cold."

This bitch, I thought to myself while chuckling a little bit. I asked this man one question and he just snitching like this an interrogation or something. I'm so mad at myself for not seeing through this shit a long time ago. Disappointed that I made such a bad call with him. I blame myself for what happened and what could've potentially happened. If I would have lost my baby or my girl, I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

"They dangerous. I don't think you should do anything." He adds on.

"Yeah. Well, I'm dangerous too." I respond while taking my gun back out and before he could even move, I pulled the trigger.
