Holidays started and Shin, Toma and I decided to spend a few days at the lodge in Shinano. We've known each other since kindergarten and they act as if they are my big brothers. But the thing is that I have a crush on Toma and I think he still sees me as his little sister. I want to confess to him while we're staying at the lodge.
~ Timeskip ~
We were at the station and waiting for our train whilst discussing how to share the rooms we booked. Shin knows about me having a crush on Toma and decided to help me out. He booked one room with a double bed and another one with a normal bed. "Why exactly did you book a room for a couple and one normal room?" asked Toma with a slightly shocked expression. "It was a family bundle and we saved some money." answered Shin. "So, how are we going to share the roo-" before I could even finish my sentence Shin exclaimed : "I am NOT going to share a bed with a guy! (Y/N), I hope this isn't a problem for you." I chuckled, it was funny seeing Shin so upset. "I don't mind, I know that I can trust Toma." He was blushing and it was so adorable. "Are you okay with sharing a room with me?" He nodded still blushing. We boarded the train, made some smalltalk and waited until our arrival. I was really excited. "(Y/N) if Toma tries anything come straight to my room, I'll protect you." Shin said smirking at Toma. He was obviously teasing him. "Oi! How do I know you won't try anything?" And so they had one of their little "friendship-fights". I didn't even try to stop it since I knew this wasn't serious.
We finally arrived and decided to meet up tomorrow morning in the lobby to decide what we would do then. After that we went to our assigned rooms and went to sleep, it was late and we were all tired. I was already lying on the bed, Toma was changing in the bathroom. When he came out he asked if I was really okay with sharing the bed. "(Y/N) are you completely sure this is okay for you? If not, that's okay. In that case I'd sleep on the floor." He was so nice and caring, that's what I loved about him. I assured him that I really don't have a problem with us sharing a bed. And so we went to sleep.
~ Another Timeskip ~
It was morning, birds were chirping and the sun was shining. Okay, that was all a lie. The morning was completely normal... except the fact that Toma was sleeping next to me. And hugging me. I can feel the blood rushing into my cheeks. I reached for my phone and thanked Shin per sms. I looked at the sleeping blonde next to me. I say looked but it was more like staring. I freed myself from his grip and went to the bathroom to change. When I came back Toma was awake. "Mornin'(Y/N)" he said cheery. I was changing for about 10 minutes, how can he already be wide awake? Well, I guess he lives pretty healthy, but I still can't believe it. "Good morning Toma..." I answered, still sleepy. Should I ask him about the hug? I decided to let it go for now (pls don't make Frozen references now).
It was time to meet Shin for breakfast. We were on our way to the lobby when I told Toma I had to go back to our room because I forgot something. That was a lie of course, I just needed a good excuse to get the two of us back into our room. "I forgot something in our room, ok more like umm... lost. Can you help me look for it?" My plan was perfect, there's no way he would refuse. "Ok, sure. What exactly did you lose?" Good question. "I lost my ____." and so we headed back to our room.
When we finally arrived I closed the door behind us and calmed myself down. I was going to confess to him, right here, right now. "Toma... I have to tell you something..." I said beetred. He looked in my direction, making everything even more difficult. And he smiled. That goddamn adorable smile. "I am in love with you, I've always been. Since the day you asked me to marry you when were older and even before that!" He looked shocked, but happy. There was a moment of silence. And then he finally broke the silence "Then let's take the first step to getting married. (Y/N), will you go out with me?" I was overly happy. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I practically jumped into his arms, hugging him and nodded. He hugged me back and gave me a small peck on my forehead. "I wish we could just lay down in bed again and cuddle, but we have to meet up with Shin." I said. "But (Y/N)! What about ____?" he was worried about my lie. "Umm... that was actually a lie, I didn't want to confess in public, even if it's just in a small lodge. I mean, what if you would have turned me down and people were overhearing our conversation. You would look really bad. Anyways, come on, Shin's probably waiting for us." He agreed, took my hand and we went to the lobby, this time for real.
Shin sat there looking annoyed. Just as expected. "Good morning Shin!" we said in union both hoping that he wouldn't be mad. When we sat down he saw that we were holding hands and smirked. "So it worked out?" I nodded. Toma was confused at first but caught up fast. " You two planned all this? Even with the rooms and stuff?" We explained everything to Toma and he seemed to feel slightly betrayed, but still happy of course.
