Chapter 3

Good news and bad news. The bad news is I've got Jack's diary, and he'll destroy me if he if he finds out. The good news is... JACK AVERY KNOWS MY NAME!

O.M.G.! I HAVE to tell someone about this! I'll tell Ellis! She'll just die!

I caught Ellis just as she was sneaking off with Zach. Again. 

"Ellis! Wait!" I screamed.

"Zach! Slow down!" I heard Ellis saying.

Ew, I can hear them in there!

"What's up?" Zach asked.

"I was thinking, like, what if we were to hang out, you know, not just here." Ellis said.

"Like go make out at the movies or something?" Zach asked.

"No, silly, like a date. Like the dance." Ellis said.

"I dunno. Dances aren't really my thing..." Zach said.

"Oh, well, that's fine." Ellis said and Zach laughed.

"I'm glad you think it's so funny when I'm like pouring my heart out--" Ellis said.

"You didn't let me finish, silly." Zach said cutting her off. "Dances aren't my thing unless I've got a hot chick with me. You want to go to the dance with me?" 

"If you asked I wouldn't say no..." Ellis said.

"Well then let's go!" Zach said as he leaned over to kiss Ellis.

But I thought we were going together! 

"Get out of my way, you basic bi-atch" Lola said as she walked towards me.

SO not in the mood for this right now. My best friend is ditching me for a guy!

"You know what, LOLA?" I said. "I heard about your little trench coat drop. You think I'm the thirsty one, but YOU'RE the one who pulls pathetic stunts like that. It's sad how much he OWNS you."

Who told you that, freak?!" Lola asked and I laughed.

"I have my sources." I said.

"I..." She said.

"Oh, did you need something?" I asked.

"Stay away from Jack!" She said as she walked away.

You and I both...

After that I went back home.

God, who knows who else Jack is hooking up with? Only one way to find out... 

I took out the diary and started reading.

- Dear Dumb Ass, I banged my best friend's sister last night. Gave it to her, like, amazing. He'd be pissed if he knew, but who cares? It's not like I ever go back for seconds. -

OMG! Who?! Zach's sister? Jonah's?

- I'm pretty sure my algebra teacher was giving me the eye. I don't go for that, but it wouldn't hurt to make her think I would. -

This is messed up, man.

"Ashley! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?" My mom asked as she came into my room. "Who do you think you are staying out all night?!"

"But I called you! YOU didn't answer." I said.

Maybe I should put this fire out... Screw this, she should have called.

"Maybe you should have called me instead of fooling around with your stupid boyfriend." I said.

"How dare you talk to me that way!" She said. "I'm going on a date with Jeff. You're going to watch your sister tonight."
