I'm in Marie's bathroom, finishing up curling my hair. As I get ready for graduation, I can't help but reflect over these past six months.
It's been six months since I've been "expelled" from school.
From the chilly autumn weather, spring has come and gone, leaving a muggy summer in its place.
Still, The Elite's atrocities will not die; I've made sure of that.
In the past six months, I've gone on dozens of talk shows, radio stations, and news networks, making it my mission to tell the whole world about what The Elites have done to me and the people I care about.
That day I exposed them was the day I made a promise to Silver Valley. I would not let anyone forget The Elite's names. All around the country, I've gotten letters from people sharing their stories with high school bullies.
Most of them wished that there was someone like me that was able to stop the hurt and pain they went through.
I always remind them that I didn't prevent The Elites from doing all those terrible things, no, I just brought them the justice they deserved.
Constantly traveling for interviews is not the only hectic thing in my life. I've had to work twice as hard as most students in school because all I get are assignments and lessons emailed to me.
No teachers want to risk talking to me in fear that the school board will find out. I'm left with no help, except for Marie.
When I'm close to pulling my hair out at night because of homework I don't understand, Marie is there to help.
I can't thank her enough for that.
One way I try to express my gratitude to her is by paying her parents some money every month for allowing me to stay in their house.
To add another thing into my already busy life is a job. I work at the mall from Monday to Friday, doing back-breaking work for minimum wage.
Everyday I remind myself that wealth isn't worth anything if it was built on a lie.
If I'm being honest, I haven't had a good night's sleep in months. Working, traveling, and doing schoolwork means that the only freetime I have is spent with Marie and her family.
By now, I consider them my family.
When we watch movies or play board games together, I feel like I belong. Somehow I was meant to come across Marie and her parents because they complete me.
I haven't talked to most of The Elites since I left, not that I'd want to talk to Angie, Lauryn, Peter, or Kell.
I've texted Poppy and Cass a few times, but our friendship has been on hold with the excitement of school ending.
