CHANDELIER (MADDIE ZIEGLER) [In Editing]

Chapter 2

Maddie POV

Where am I? All I can see is darkness around me. No one, nothing, just darkness.

"Kenzie,Nia,Mom...anyone?" I yell

No response.

I run around the place frantically, looking for anyone, even Kalani at one point, but still all I can see is darkness. I curl up in a ball on the floor and cry. My head shoots up when I hear a familiar voice.

"Kenzie?" I ask

"Over her Mads...help!" She screams

I run for what feels like hours in the direction of her voice until a dim light comes into view. Yes an escape! Wait, I have to find Kenzie

"Kenzie, where are you" I shout

"Over here" She shouts back from the direction of the light.

I run to the light and stop dead in my tracks. It's that chandelier. No Kenzie, no anybody, just that chandelier

"Kenzie?' I call out again

"In the chandelier. Save me Maddie...please" Her voice rings 

I slowly reach out to touch it. I've got to save Kenzie. I'm less than an inch away from the chandelier before I am interrupted by...One Direction? "Midnight Memories oh oh oh oh" What? "Baby you and me stumbling in the street singing singing singing"

My head shoots up and I open my eyes. It was just a dream, thank God. I turn off my 1D alarm clock and hop into the shower. I love to think in the shower, it's relaxing.

The warm water cascades my skin and I think about my dream. What could it have possibly meant? Out of all the things in the world, why did it have to be that chandelier.

A knock on the door snaps me from my thoughts.

"What are you doing in there? It's been an hour. You have ten minutes before the school bus comes"Kenzie shouts

Has it really been an hour? I guess now is as good a time as any to actually start bathing, instead of just standing under the shower.

"Nia, you can't leave dance early today. You and Kenzie are my only friends and I'm pretty sure Kenzie can't stand up against Kalani" I pout

"Sorry Mads, I have a doctor's appointment" She sighs and I nod in response

I turn around to see the hottest boy in school, Matt Boyce, talking to his friends. He locks eyes with me for a moment, before walking away from his friends, I think he's coming over here.

"Omg Nia, I think Matt's coming over here" I squeal and we both fix our hair.

"Hey your Madison right?" Matt says to me, completely ignoring Nia's presence.Ouch.

"It's Maddie..." I trail off. I look to my left to see a very sad looking Nia and i feel bad for her "And this is Nia" I say pointing to her and she smiles and waves

"Cool, so Maddie, wanna chill after school today"Matt smiles his award winning smile

"Sorry, I have dance" I frown
