Weiss was sitting on her bed, hugging her knees and listening to music from Ruby's scroll she left behind while staring at the wall as if it were a screen. Yang was still unconscious, her arm wrapped in bandages and her now clean clothes sitting folded on top of the book shelf in front of the window. I wanted to read something to take my mind off of all this. But all the stories are just as tragic. I'd only end up comparing them to our current predicament.

From my bottom bunk, I looked up as Yang's blond hair hanging over the edge. I got out of bed and climbed up to sit next to her. She looked so peaceful in her sleep. I'm just glad she's alive. She lost a lot of blood. No doubt she'll be dizzy after she wakes up.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. I jumped to the floor and answered, seeing my now non cape wearing leader.

"Ruby?!" I exclaimed before closing the door before Weiss heard me."What happened to you?" I whispered.

"W-what do you mean?" She asked. I froze. Does she not remember anything at all?

"I didnt lose control again, did I?" She asked."Is that why Vale is a mess all of a sudden?" Tears peaked from her eyes."Forget about Vale for now. Weiss needs you right now more than ever. I caught her with this last night." I held in my hand a razor stained with dried Schnee blood. Ruby gasped and opened the door.

Weiss was standing there, now with a wide eyed expression.

"...Weiss-" before Ruby could say anything else, Weiss charged at her and tucked her face into Ruby's neck, crying her heart out."I'm so sorry, Weiss."

"Shut up, you dunce. Dont say anything."

So she didnt. Ruby just hugged her back. It was nice, almost reassuring to see them together. It made me feel like everything was gonna go back to normal pretty soon.

Now if only that blond sleeping beauty would wake up and join this heartwarming reunion.

I turned around to see Yang sitting up in her bed. Speak of the devil, I thought.

The three of us went inside and shut the door to greet Yang.

"Ruby? You're back?"

"Yeah. Not sure where I went but I'm back. And I plan to stay. I just hope nothing ruins that plan." Ruby laughs nervously."I'll make sure you stay. You owe me, little sis." She held up her right arm, showing the bandage wrapped around it."I did that?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah, but its cool. And I was just kidding." Yang laughed. But Ruby wasn't laughing. Instead, she fell to her knees and sobbed.

"Why? Why do I keep doing that?" She shook her head with her face in her palms.

"You bite people often?" Yang asks as a joke to cheer her up.

"No! Why do I keep hurting the people I love?! You, and Weiss, and Blake! Even team JNPR. I've hurt so many of you, but you always forgive me! Why?!"

"Because we love you, Ruby. And no matter what, well always be here for you. Besides, we know it isn't your fault." Weiss knelt down next to her. Ruby stopped crying and wiped her tears."Can you forgive me...for leaving you so many times?" Ruby sniffed."Of course, you idiot. I love you."

"I love you too."

Yang put her arm around me and picked me up, making me sit on her lap."Aren't they adorable?"

"Yes. Most certainly." I replied, kissing her cheek.

We spent the day together as we would normally do, playing around, talking and laughing. Just having a good time as friends. Ruby invited team JNPR and we all relaxed with each other. Everything was right again. But behind everyone's smiles, we were all thinking the same thing I'm sure.

How long would this 'normal' last?

How long before Ruby turns again?

Will Ruby ever go back to the way she was?

Ruby

Time had flown by pretty fast. We already ate dinner and team JNPR had gone back to their own dorm. It was about time for bed. The four of us, along with Pyrrah and Nora, went to the showers. As Weiss stood behind me taking her clothes off, I couldn't help but watch. Her porcelain skin lit up under the bright lights in the room. She folded her clothes neatly and grabbed her towel. I grabbed my now blue towel and went to take a shower, but all the stalls were filled with girls.

I didnt feel like waiting cause then I'd be here all night. I got an idea but then felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around, seeing boobs.

That's right. Boobs.

"Hey, sis! Shower with me, fam?" She asked but dragged me into a stall she was already in.

"Dang it." I sighed."Yeah, I know. But try to give Weiss some space. I know she's happy you're back and all, but I can tell she still has some thinking to do on her own." She said as she washed her legs. She then turned around, inquiring that I wash her back.

"I get that. But I dont want her to think too much about it. She'll start thinking this is her fault again."

"She still does. There never was a moment Weiss didnt think she was to blame. She's always been sad and angry at herself. We've done everything we can to keep her calm. But now that you're back, its up to you." Yang said as she went behind me and washed my back. I looked down at my wet feet and sighed.

It was at that moment I made a vow to myself to keep a smile on Weiss' face at all times.

When we exited the showers, we dried off, got dressed and went back to the dorm. I sat on Weiss' bed and waited for her. When she entered, she was still drying her hair."What are you doing?" She asked when she noticed me staring.

"Nothing." I shrugged.

"Stop being weird and go to bed. Tomorrow is only a half day, so I plan to go shopping tomorrow."

She sat next to me on her bed and ignored me. She layed down and I wrapped my arm around her from behind."Ruby." She said.

"You're not getting rid of me, Ice Queen. So just go to sleep."

She shook her head. I ended up falling asleep with her which was pure bliss.

I want to stay like this forever...

But...

How long can it really last...?

Before I hurt her again?
