Imagine if your family fell apart when you were nine. Just think about how that would change your family. Let's start from the beginning.

When Beatrix was nine, her parents divorced. Typical American family right? Beatrix's older sister, Alicia, found gay porn on her father's phone, which was what started it all. After that, Beatrix lived with bothher mother and father while her sister no longer trusted her father and only lived with her mother. Beatrix was happy to live with both her parents, as she loved both of them. But, one Sunday night before school started, Beatrix's father got really drunk with a bunch of friends. She curled up in her father's bed, hoping to get at least some sleep, but the party raged on. Being a smart child, now at the age of 10, Beatrix called her mother when the clock hit midnight, as she knew that sleep was important for school the next day. Once Beatrix's father found out that Beatrix had called her mother, his drunken self went off on his scared, vulnerable child. She ran out the door, school bag in hand, hoping her mother would be out there. No such luck. Her mother pulled up seconds later though, much to Beatrix's relief. She ran and jumped into the car, tears welling up in her small, unknowing eyes. Her father, hearing the car pull up, ran outside in only boxers. He opened the passenger's side door, where Beatrix was sitting, and screamed hateful things at his young child and ex-wife. The young Beatrix, scared out of her mind, had tears rolling down her face before he could slam the door of the car, making both mother and child jump. Beatrix's mother drove away from that place of hatred and negativity into the dark night, trying to comfort her child. When Beatrix woke up the morning after, she only groggily remembered the night before as she looked at her mother, who had come to wake her up, all the memories of the 'night from hell' came back to her. Another round of tears came and Beatrix begged her mother to stay home.
