Beatrix stayed home with her mother and sister. Let comforted her and told her it would all be OK. But would it be? She went to school the next day and the questions flew. She told people all sorts of different things. Anywhere from I fell down the stairs and we thought I had broken my leg to I talked into a ball and fell off a cliff. From then on, that fifth grader became 'popular'. She ate up every bit of it. Beatrix loved being the star of attention. She thrived on attention. After that day, she knew one thing also, lying.

A close 'friend' who went by the name of Grey, helped Beatrix through those hard times. But from the outside they had the perfect friendship. But really, Grey was teaching Beatrix all kinds of things. About suicide and cutting. But no one really saw that or knew that because it would always be just Grey and Beatrix. As all friendships though, someone had wiggled their way in, not that Beatrix minded. More attention is all that she thought. But Angelina had affects on the friend ship of Grey and Beatrix. She wanted to become Beatrix, not just be her friend. No one would realize that until two years later when their friendship ended.

The year was coming to a close and Beatrix was drifting farther away from Grey and closer to Angelina. The three girls fought each other for attention constantly and Beatrix found it exhausting. She couldn't take it anymore, so she and Angelina cut ties with Grey. It didn't end that easily though. Endless snarky comments on Instagram and Snap chat came for a while, until fifth grade was almost over, then Grey finally gave up on trying to win back Beatrix. All seemed to be going good from then on. Beatrix and Angelina were as close as ever and their friendship was thriving. After fifth grade finished, the happy days of summer came. The girls forgo all about Grey and hug out and had sleep overs every other day, just like regular 'tweens'. All good things have to come to an end though. Beatrix and Angelina entered the sixth grade and after the terrible messages Beatrix's mother, sister, and herself had been getting from her father, a court report was filed. Beatrix and her sister her scheduled to talk to the judge two months from then.
