Payton and I talked each morning before first period, and some days after first. We met along the blue carpet between third and fourth for a really quick hug and kiss. I still walked Allie to band, Payton said that she didn't mind since she still got to see me, and I was hers. After saying bye to Allie, I would meet Payton at the beginning of the hallway where we would make sure each other was doing alright. Payton's hugs got tighter around my waist and I loved it dearly. We couldn't talk to each other during sixth since our seats had gotten moved, but one of us would wait outside the door for the other. There, we would link hands and walked to seventh together. We found a longer route which kept us together longer, and after making it into seventh, I would go right and she would go left. We sat on opposite sides so we wouldn't get in trouble from talking. After class, we would meet up outside, and share a long hug and a few kisses.
We were out, just not to our families. We had a good reason, I promise. You know how it is when you get into a relationship with someone. There's certain rules, and more things that you can't do. Our way worked because we still saw each other pretty much every weekend. I guess it's a good thing when my uncle and her mom were together, since then we could be together. We had to play it safe so none of our family members would figure it out, and take us away from each other.
Some weekends I would stay over which was wonderful. We could cuddle more and more, and more kisses were added into the mix. Sleeping together was always great because I could snuggle close into her, and we would wrap herself tightly around me.
I was happy, and I'm sure she was too. We both had our separate lives, but we also had one together. When track meets came, she came to a few, and she cheered me on. I did the same with her softball matches.
Ninth grade was coming to an end, and the long stretch of summer was approaching. We had vacations planned together with our families, but we both knew we would have to keep "us" quiet so no one could find out. We decided that after my birthday we were finally going to come out to our families, because even if they were mad at us, our happiness could overpower it.
The days we weren't together, we texted a lot. Twice a week we would call each other and sometimes fall asleep together.
I didn't care how things would end because I knew it wouldn't be happening for a while. I won't say forever because very few things stay together forever no matter how much the two-people said it would be
. The dark was still our favorite since that was where we really started, but we loved the sunshine too.
