Chapter 6

"Okay guys here are your drinks." The waitress said. She sat them down by the person they went to before we told her we needed more time to order.

"Ooh look." Dacre said, moving his menu closer to me and pointing at the picture of fried green beans.

"Oh no way." I said, getting excited. "I haven't had any of those in a long time."

"Me neither. I'm going to get them."

"Whats so exciting guys, you have to share." Charlie said.

"Fried green beans." We said at the same time, looking up at him and laughing at each other. I turned to Joe and grabbed his hand under the table. I saw the corners of his mouth go up but he continued to talk to Natalia.

"I feel like I'm fifth wheeling." Charlie said. "Natalia and Joe. Dacre and Grant."

"How did you guys meet?" Natalia asked, looking between Dacre and I.

"I was getting picked on by some dick at School who now works at Maccas by the way. Dacre walks up and 'accidentally' trips him and I said thanks."

"We didn't talk to each other for a while after that because we didn't know the other but we ended up having a class together the next semester and we were seated next to each other and he flirted with me." Dacre said.

"Couldn't resist. I have that affect." I said, making them all laugh.

"I agree." Joe said. I released his hand and grabbed the back of his neck, bringing him closer to me so I could kiss his cheek.

"We swapped numbers and went to the movies and we've been friends since."

"Okay quick question. When you kissed..." Charlie trailed.

"Was it like a peck or?" Natalia finished for him. We glanced at each other and then looked down at our menus, not saying anything.

"Oh my god. You guys full on made out." Joe said with a laugh.

"Was the second a full on make out as well?" Charlie asked.

"Yes." Dacre mumbled. I snorted and looked down as I shook my head, trying to hide my embarrassment.

"Oh my god. We've kissed three times." I said.

"We did?"

"Truth or dare." I said, slapping his shoulder.

"Oh yeah!" He said with a laugh. "Yeah... the girl I had a crush on at the time thought I was dating you after that so that was great."

"What brought that up?" Natalia asked with a giggle.

"You're so cute." I said, leaning over so that I could see her. Everyone laughed at that except her, her face got red.

"Well everyone already thought we were a thing and just trying to hide it and didn't think we would do it. So we did and shrugged it off because it really was no big deal." Dacre said.

"It was really good for me at that time in my life." I said. Charlie and Natalia started laughing really hard, Dacre rolled his eyes at me, and Joe shook his head with a smile on his face.

"I feel like we have to talk about some stuff." I said as I closed the door to Joe's trailer behind me.

"I know Dacre isn't straight. You don't have to hide that from me. It's easy for me to pick up on. The others might not see it but I do." I took a breathe and sat down on his couch.

"Okay. Get it out." I said.

"Were you guys ever in a relationship? Did you ever do more than kiss?" He asked. "Do I need to be worried about anything? Not that I don't trust you. I've just experienced something like this before and I don't want to waste my time. No. Wait. That came out wrong. I'm so-"

"Joe! It's fine." I said with a laugh. "I get it." He sat down next to me and leaned his head back, making eye contact with me. "We never dated. There were never feelings. There was the first kiss and the second kiss."

"But..."

"There was a lot of hands on places and clothing being removed during the first kiss because we had had a little bit of alcohol but it stopped. Nothing below the belt."

"I'm sorry. I'm always cautious because I've been cheated on before and I-"

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I feel like I should be apologizing because more stories of Dacre and I came out without warning."

"I'm going to learn about them sometimes." He said with a laugh. I smiled at him and he pecked my lips.

"Uh hey guys!" Dacre yelled as he knocked on the door.

"What?!" Joe yelled, making me laugh. Dacre burst in and I laughed even harder.

"Uh yeah hi. Dick head. We were going to watch high school musical tonight." He said while he looked right at me.

"Oh my god." Joe said, starting to laugh.
