AN: Well I haven't posted a chapter since Christmas and now it's almost Christmas again. The next Jurassic World movie has come out. I saw the movie and freaking loved it more than I can say with words. I love that it was scarier than the first JW movie and how much humor was in it. It was absolutely amazing and I love the direction its set up to take the next movie in. Anyway, I've already started to think about a sequel for this book but in order for that to happen this one has to be finished first... duh. I'm very behind so I'm going to be putting more of my time and focus into this story to try and keep the story moving.

-

After a day full of walking around the park, riding rides and watching almost every dinosaur show we make our way back to the resort where my parents and Lia are staying.

"Mr. Masrani has invited us to dinner tonight." I announce as we step into the hotel lobby. "He wanted to see you before you two head back home tomorrow."

"That's nice of him." Lia smiles, jumping into the conversation before anyone else can.

"You actually can't come, Lia." I explain apologetically.

"What?" Lia pouts.

"My friend Alycia is going to come over to the hotel room with food for you. She'll keep you company while we're gone." I say. "If it makes you feel better, Connor can't go either because he has mandatory training tonight."

"I don't need a babysitter, I'm sixteen!" She argues, puffing out her bottom lip in frustration.

"I know you don't, she isn't a babysitter. She's just going to bring food over and keep you company. After tonight I won't leave you with her again and we can spend loads of time together tomorrow after mom and dad leave, I promise." I repeat myself. Lia frowns but doesn't complain further. Really though, we'll have a whole week on our own because of her school project so this is nothing to fuss about.

"What time is the dinner?" My mother asks calmly.

"Seven o'clock." I reply. "We have about an hour to kill before we need to get going."

"Okay, we'll go and get ready then." Mom says.

"Alright, I'll do the same and meet you back here in about forty-five minutes." I nod.

"Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Grant, and Miss Grant as well, of course." Mr. Masrani greets us, motioning for us to come in.

We step inside and are lead to a small table where the meal is set out. My dad pulls the chair out for my mom and we all take our seats. Mr. Masrani sits down as well and begins to dish the food. Throughout the evening my parents do most of the talking while I eat in relative silence, adding a sentence or two to the conversation when I feel it's necessary. I still feel somewhat awkward around my parents after what happened when they first arrived but they'll be leaving in the morning and then I won't have to worry about them for a while.

The topic of Lia's school project comes up just as I finish eating and I turn my attention away from my plate and to my parents who are explaining that Lia's teacher gave an assignment to create a presentation on their favorite place in the world, which happens to be Jurassic World for my little sister, and to interview ten people about what they think of Jurassic World over summer break. My parents could think of no place better to work on her project than Jurassic World itself.

"Well we are certainly happy to have her here." Mr. Masrani smiles after they have finished speaking.

The evening comes to an end shortly after this and I find myself shaking hands with Mr. Masrani before being ushered back outside. A small yellow gift bag swings from my mother's hand as the three of us walk back to my car and I offer her a hand before climbing into the driver's seat myself.

When the morning comes, Conner, Lia, and I each hug our mom and dad in turn before they have prepare to board the boat off of the island.

"Be good, work on your project!" Dad grins, ruffling Lia's hair much to her protest. "You two take care of yourselves."

"Keep track of Lia too!" Mom adds.

"We will." Connor nods.

"Don't worry, we'll all be fine." I smile, rolling my eyes a bit at the overprotectiveness of our parents. We're both adults, we can handle Lia for a week.

"Alright, be safe." Mom sighs, leaning down to plant a kiss on each of our foreheads.

With that, the horn sounds from the boat and it's time for them to board. The three of us wave until the boat is out of sight, then Connor has to get back to work in the velociraptor section. I however, have been given the day off. Connor and I will rotate through working and guiding Lia around.

"So, is there a certain person that you want to interview first?" I ask, turning to look at Lia as we begin to walk back to my apartment.

"I might as well start with you. When we get to your apartment I want to know everything there is to know about working at Jurassic World." Lia shrugs, trying to appear casual, but I can hear the excitement in her voice.

"You've got it." I nod at her, the corners of my lips tilting upward.
