Tossing around in bed, my eyes shot open. A soft blue bore through the curtains and I checked my phone for the time. 6:07 AM. Rubbing my eyes, I heard small snores to my right.
What exactly happened last night? Sitting up, I saw Sehun's pale back. Looking back at myself, I was fully clothed. I relaxed my shoulders, I could barely sleep last night.
Darting my attention to my bathing suit, an idea popped into my head. I wanted to swim because I couldn't last night. I took this chance and grabbed it off my suitcase.
~~
Ripping a post it from the stack with a neatly written note, I stuck it on the bathroom mirror.
"Sehun, I went to the swimming pool so don't be worried if you don't see me by your side (even if you don't care, I just wanted to let you know.) You know where to find me if you need to! -Hyun Ae."
Scurrying down the hallways, I ran towards the elevator. As the metal doors opened, I stepped in and pressed the level button. With much anitcipation, I was excited for a morning swim. I could never wake early enough for anything and today was finally the day.
The indoor pool was quiet and the clear waters invited me. Dipping my toe, I shivered at how cold it was. Taking a deep breath, I plunged into the empty pool. Everything felt calm, like time had stopped and I was happy.
~~
Floating slowly, I let the waters guide me. In the distance, I heard small shuffling. Staring at the ceiling, I waited for the person to pass by. But instead, he stood at the edge of the pool.
Regaining my wits, I swam toward him. "Hmm, how'd you find me?"
Groaning, he squatted down and stuck the identical post it on my forehead. "Morning to you too."
"Why are you even up so early?" I rolled my eyes and got out of the pool. Water slid down my body and Sehun watched me closely.
"I have a meeting at around 8:30." He gulped.
"Quit eyeing me. I thought you said you didn't want to see me naked." I teased and wrapped my towel around my body.
Sehun scoffed, "You're not nak-"
"I practically am." I cut him off and walked towards the exit.
"Don't flatter yourself that much." He followed after me.
~~
"What am I suppose to do when you go to your meeting? This is our honeymoon for sakes, Sehun." I crossed my arms and wrapped the robe tighter around my tiny body.
Sehun searched around his suitcase for a dress shirt. "Whenever I'm in Japan, I have at least one meeting every time. People want to see me."
"Your the son, why isn't your father going to the business things?"
"I'm next in line, must prepare. I'm basically the boss now, my dad does nothing anymore." He carefully slipped the buttons through the small slits.
"Let me come with you." I jumped.
"You're kidding right? This is a business meeting, not a field trip. Plus, only upper class people are welcomed and you, you're a middle class." Sehun looked at me in digust.
"Well whatever. Don't bring me, I don't want to meet all your snobby no-better friends anyways." I rolled my eyes and took off my robe.
Sehun's eyes were the size of bowling balls. "What are you doing?"
"Changing. I'm going to see Japan by myself." I strutted past him and into the bathroom.
~~
Closing the door to the bathroom, a yellow post it note was before me. The handwriting was messy and rushed but the name signed at the bottom made up for it.
"Hyun Ae, I'm sorry. At least join me for dinner tonight, I'll meet you back in here at 7 and you don't even have to dress up (highly recommanded though). -Sehun."
Ripping off the yellow paper, I folded it neatly into my bag. I was out the door and into the elevator by nine sharp. Through the huge lobby and the front doors, I saw Sehun's chauffeur standing in front of the shiny black car. Running forward, he helped me with my bag.
"Annyeonghaseyo. Are you not assisting Sehun today?"
"Mr.Oh told me to drive you around today." My heart fluttered and my face turned into a light shade of pink.
"He d-did?" The chauffeur smirked and nodded his head. Opening the door, I stepped in and he followed right after me. The car slowly shifted to one side then back to normal as the door slammed shut. The engine started up and we were off in less than a minute.
~~
"So, where did you go today?" Sehun asked as he picked up a sushi piece from his plate.
"I only went to two places because I didn't want to bother your poor chauffeur. He also accompanied me to these places too." I teased and Sehun's jaw tighen, slowly chewing the food in his mouth.
Sehun's hands turned into fists as he gripped his chopsticks, "Like a date?"
"Whatever you want to think." I shrugged. Picking up another piece of sushi, I popped it into Sehun's mouth. "It's funny isn't it? We haven't even had our first date yet but your chauffeur and I already have, according to you."
"I thought you liked the chauffeur." Sehun stared down at the table, his gaze intensifying by the second.
"I do-"
"I'm firing him."
"-as a friend, Oh Sehun." I was cut off by Sehun's sudden answer.
"You need to remember who you're married to. Not to that driver who's a good ten years older than you but me. I'm the one you married-"
"-Was force to marry." I narrowed my eyes at him and he peered up. "Listen, Sehun. I know you probably have many business women, secretaries, and even coworkers who admire you so don't get all jealous and fire a chauffeur when I'm the one who's treating him." I spoke sternly but softly.
"How is it that you care for that worthless driver more than your husband?" Sehun crossed his arms.
Leaning forward, I crossed my arms too. "Since when did we start caring for each other, Oh Sehun?"
"Since the day you were forced to marry me."
