I screamed as I felt my body flush with sudden heat. I felt my fingers and toes tingle, and then my hand started to burn as I concentrated on the monster in front of me. "You will not hurt me anymore.' I yelled as I watched his clothes start to catch on fire.

"STOP," Carter yelled loudly. "How is this possible?" I looked down to my hand that I was still holding up in front of me and saw a stream, a light beaming from my palm, and it was pointed right at Carter as he yelled out in pain. "I'll kill you witch," he bellowed dropping to his knees and moaning out in pain again.

I felt my body suddenly surge with light as I lifted off the ground. I felt like a feather in the breeze as I floated there in mid-air towards him slowly.

"Sorceress from hell," he yelled out.

"Listen to me, you great big idiot," I said, landing on my two feet in front of him. "You have no idea who you are messing with. I've had a crap day, and you are just pissing me off right now. You will listen to what I have to say, or I will kill you and trust me when I say, I have no control over this light thing inside me, so that will not end well for you," I tried to say with confidence still confused at what was happening.

"I will not listen to a vile Sorceress like you," he yelled, lunging at me.

I held my hand up as the monster lunged toward me, and the light once again shot out of my hand right at him and I had no control over it. I watched as the light hit him in the chest hard and knocked him backward on the hard cold floor. He groaned in pain as he rubbed the back of his head and glared at me with his cold dead eyes.

"Carter, please just listen to me, ok. I'm cold, and I'm scared, and I just want to go home right now. I have no idea why Vinnie and Callan sent me here, and quite frankly when I see them next, they are going to be in a world of pain."

"How do you know my son's name?" The monster said cautiously.

I sighed. "You are not going to believe me, hell; I don't even believe me anymore. I wish I could just go home."

"Tell me," He said abruptly, standing up very slowly not taking his eyes off me. "Never has a creature defeated me so quickly. Tell me what you are." He was clearly fearful of me now.

I swallowed nervously, "Shit, where do I start here." I ran my hands, threw my hair, and closed my eyes. "I'm not from around here, wait, yes I am. I grew up here and I'm all grown up now. No, that sounds ridiculous." I paused for a second and collected my thoughts. "Ok, I'm just going to say it so you can threaten to kill me again," I held up my hand in front of me once more in preparation for his next move. "I am Ebony Summers, and you are Carter Morgan. I work for you in the future, along with Jake and Vinnie. I know your son Callan, your awful brother Leon and your hideous ex-wife whom I refuse to talk about because I told you she was bad news, but no, you had to support her because she was pregnant and I was engaged to you and blah blah blah."

"Ebony?" He said, cutting me off. "You are Ebony Summers?"

"Yes," I replied, biting my lip.

"That cannot be, Ebony is five years old."

"Yes, she is, but I am here as well. I was sent back through some sort of portal by your son and that stupid Vinnie for some reason." I kept my hand up in front of me waiting for his response but instead, he just watched me and said nothing. "Are you getting any of this?"

Carter clenched his fits and I felt his eyes looking right threw me. "This is bullshit. You are a liar," he yelled, suddenly making me jump. "You think I would fall for this? What are you after, witch?"

"For goodness sake, Carter. Look at me. Don't you feel anything?" I yelled. "It's me."

"You are trying to trick me, and I will not fall for your trickery."
