Jungkook had followed Taehyung up stairs, only to be dumbfounded. The guy was almost at the end of a corridor, even though he had been right in front of Jungkook only a few seconds before. Jungkook began running after him, the thought of getting lost in this house haunting his mind.

Jungkook vaguely registered his surroundings, elegant and hella expensive. The paintings, hanging all over the walls, were all of men and women old fashioned but well kept. They were all beautiful people, yet their smiles had elements of sadness and the shimmers in their eyes only made it seem as though they were on the verge of crying.

When Jungkook had finally caught up to Taehyung, said boy had suddenly halted in front of one of the many doors in the hallway. This almost resulted in a collision, luckily Jungkook was able to stop right before hitting Taehyung. He thought of what may have happened if he had ran into the guy with a suit, which probably cost more that Jungkooks right arm.

"This will be your room," Taehyung said while opening the door with a key. Jungkook looked at the key wondering why a key was needed. The key was attached to Taehyungs belt, then Jungkook realised just how many keys Taehyung kept there.

Taehyung in the mean time had opened the door and walked into the room. Jungkook followed. He looked at the room, which could hold up to four people. It was just like the rest of the house: large, expensive and quite beautiful.

Taehyung handed the key over to him. "Here. Please lock your room when you aren't in it and at nighttime," he demanded though his smooth voice made it seem like it was a normal request.

"Why?" Jungkook asked. He observed the way in which Taehyungs mouth almost broke its ever present smile. He wasn't happy with the question, but Jungkook had no idea why.
"Its just a precaution."

Then Jimin came running by skipping to a stop as he saw Jungkook and Taehyung. "I've found all of them, they are in the living-room," then his face turned to Taehyung with an unreadable expression," I have to attend to something else first, but I'll be down there shortly." He then ran off towards the stairs and went up to the second floor.

"Well, shall we go and introduce you to the rest then," Taehyung started walking out of the room. Jungkook walked after him, but stopped and looked at Taehyung with a confused expression. Taehyung in turn looked at Jungkook expectantly, waiting. Then Jungkook had to suppress a scoff, the door. Taehyung wanted, more like willed , him to lock the door.
"Sorry, I forgot. I'm going to have trouble remembering that," said Jungkook to which Taehyung smiled. "Don't worry, we all had that problem at first. You'll get used to it soon enough!"

Walking through the corridor which led back to the stairs they used to get to the first floor, Jungkook once again admired the painting. His eyes fell onto one in particular. It looked like it was the most recently painted one. It pictured a man somewhere in his twenties. He was, without a doubt, a gorgeous man. His hair perfectly combed, his suit perfectly fitting him. His dark orbs betrayed his pathetic excuse of a smile. His eyes held no shimmer, only a sadness as they looked past everything.
Then Jungkook saw the small golden plate, which held the name and birth date of the man. Kim Seokjin, 4th of December 1892. Weirdly enough, it lacked a date of death.

"Who are all the people in the paintings?" Simple question, thought Jungkook until he saw Taehyung tense up. "Just previous owners of this place," he said smiling. "Why doesn't that guy have a death date?" Jungkook asked innocently. Taehyung looked at the painting, smile wavering as a pained look took hold of his visage briefly. "His body was never found, probably drowned in the swamp," Taehyung stated nonchalantly. "There is a swamp?" Jungkook hadn't seen anything resembling a swamp outside.
"It's gone now." Taehyung looked away and resumed walking again.

Jungkook took one last glance at the portrait before following Taehyung again.

Poor guy , Jungkook thought.

Stepping foot in the living-room might actually have been the scariest thing Jungkook had done so far in this mansion. There were three guys waiting there, Jimin and Taehyung excluded. Taehyung didn't say anything and the unknown men kept talking in hushed voices.

"I can't believe Short-stuff dared waking me up in such a crude manner," one uttered. This guy had a pale complexion and light hair. He looked like he didn't know what sleep was.
"Oh shut up," another said, but he quickly shut his mouth at the look he was given.

Jimin came walking in. He looked at the situation before him. "What the hell," he whispered to himself. Then louder he said:"Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Taehyung! How rude of you!" Now he had their attention. Walking over to Jungkook and laying his hand on the newcomers shoulder, he started speaking.

"Everyone this is Jungkook, as you know he'll be staying here with us." Then Jimin, an actual angel in Jungkooks eyes, turned to face him. "I'll introduce you," he pointed to the tired looking blonde," that is Yoongi," Yoongi just nodded as a way of greeting. Then Jimin pointed at the redhead he had been chasing eirlier on. "That is Hoseok," said guy started smiling. "You can call me Hobi. Everyone does that," Hoseok beamed. Jungkook nodded," alright, it's nice meet you, Hobi." Jimin continued by introducing the last guy. "This is Namjoon." The tall guy made his way over to Jungkook, slightly tripping over the couch. Shaking hands he said:" Jungkook! How nice to finally make acquaintances, I wish I had known about your arrival earlier!" He gave Taehyung a side glace, making him tense up. "I hope he wasn't rude to you," Namjoon uttered. "Oh no, he wasn't!" Jungkook said, he wasn't about to make enemies already by snitching. Besides Taehyung hadn't done anything.

The subject was dropped. "If you have any questions about the way things go here " Jimin said," you can ask me!"

He's an angel, he must be, Jungkook thought.

"Look a the time ," said Namjoon," time flies by quickly, doesn't it?"
"Dinner should be ready by now."
