Hellooooo dear readers^^ I hope you ended 2017 in a great way and I wish you all success for 2018! lol I know I'm late af. School starts tomorrow so I decided to update now in case I get too busy heheh. I tried to make some bigger spaces between whenever the perspective changes from Iga to Nana, back and forth you know, too make it easier- as I understand it can get quite confusing otherwise heheh. Hope you enjoy!

Nana wasn't sitting with them at lunch the next day and Iga was forced to pretend to be clueless. Igarashi couldn't help but throw glances at him every few seconds. Nana was sitting at another table together with Takano and the other guys. He felt bad and guilty but he didn't know what to do. This wasn't what they had agreed on but the arrangement between the two boys had more or less been broken after that kiss. Igarashi didn't know what would happen now. Nana was just laughing, minding his own business, he didn't even seem that bothered. Nishina was glaring at Iga. He could tell that she obviously knew something was up. He wanted to blame her for all of it but he knew that it wasn't her fault, it was all on them. Igarashi just didn't know how to react to it all. Should he end his friendship with Nana and just focus on Serinuma? Or should he try to talk things through and forget about it all and just act like normally? Well hadn't he just tried that? Should he start dating Nana? Igarashi was pretty sure about his feelings, it wasn't like seeing Nanashima made his heart flutter.

"Nana hasn't been eating with us for a whole week now", Shinomiya stated. Someone finally brought it up, couldn't he have waited a bit longer? "It's no fun without Nana", the younger boy muttered and Serinuma couldn't help but squeal. Mutsumi nodded.

"He's been joining other classmates to eat instead", Mutsumi-senpai looked back over his shoulder to see Nana at another table.

"That's kind of weird. Wonder why?" Serinuma looked genuinely concerned about the matter. Nishina just glared at Igarashi, waiting for him to say something. Igarashi looked away, avoiding her piercing eyes.

"He has done it before to be fair. Remember the soccer competition thingy against Igarashi?" Shinomiya said and the group nodded.

"But maybe there's another reason this time", Mutsumi discretely pointed at Nana's table. A cute brunette stood by his table, they were laughing.

"But maybe they're just friends!" Nishina burst out. Iga watched as the girl was leaning against Nanashima, being extra friendly one could say. Nana didn't even push her away, Igarashi was familiar with the concept of girls liking Nanashima but he would always turn them down. Why was he letting the girl stand so close, she was embarking into his personal space! How could Nana let her do something as rude as that?

"Igarashi? Igarashi? IGARASHI!" Serinumas gentle voice turned into a scream. "You zoned out, what were you thinking so intensively about?" Igarashi turned his head around to meet her sweet giggly face. He must have been lost in thought and lost his perception of time as the table he was looking at, now stood empty.

"Ahh..ehm nothing", he scratched the back of his head and tried to laugh it off but Serinuma wouldn't stop looking at him in concern. "I'm just tired", she took the excuse.

"You're wearing a ponytail today?" Nana asked the bright girl he had spent the last weeks together with.

"Do you like it?" Miyuki asked with a sheepish smile. She wasn't one to be shy and Nana took the hint. He didn't want to sound narcissistic but she probably liked him.

"Yeah, it's pretty", he patted her head. The girl quickly returned to her more teasing nature.

"Uh-huh, and why is it pretty? Do you always look around at girls with ponytails? Maybe that's your thing?"

"It's pretty cause I can have a better look at your face dummy", Nana wasn't about to lose this game, he stroke her neck with his hand and smiled at the short girl. She blushed with a flustered expression covering her face. "And I can see your neck", Nana whispered into her ear. He was so winning. Her lips were quivering and her face took the colour of a ripe tomato. He was leaning in, his lips only a few centimetres from hers. "And you don't look like a complete mess", he flicked his fingers at her forehead and laughed.

"Auch! Idiot", she yelled and he jokingly ran away.

Miyuki was cute, she was funny, she was nice and he really wanted to like her but he couldn't. She was everything he could wish for in a girl, bright, adventurous, happy, but still, he couldn't do it. Maybe it was this Igarashi had felt like when he was with Nana. Stupid Igarashi. Nana shouldn't even think about him, it was over. He didn't even hang out with the others, the ties were cut. There was no going back. He couldn't deny that he missed them but it would just be weird if he came back to them now. And what about the others? He had left them ones for Serinuma, it would just be douchy to do it again. Miyuki was a girl from the other class, he had never properly talked with her before Takano introduced them as he had been interested in her friend. It had been a silly little double date but everyone had seemed to enjoy it so Nana just went along with it. He felt bad, he knew that the longer he kept up with it the more he would hurt the girl but he wanted to keep up with it. They were friends and he hoped that one day he would just fall in love with her, just like what had happened with Igarashi.

They were on break and of course, that stupid brunette would show up in their classroom. Igarashi gritted his teeth. He wasn't even sure why he was so upset by it. Her clingy hands were all over Nana. Were they dating? It was hard to tell but at the same time he had seen them standing dangerously close in the hallway. Nanashima seemed happy, so why wasn't Igarashi happy? Couldn't he just be happy for his friend's sake like a normal person? Ughh! Being away from Nanashima had made him think about them a lot. The old days, the fun days. Just the two of them being best friends and having a great time. Why was that so impossible to go back to? So far away, so unreachable. Her name was Miyuki, wasn't it?

Miyuki...

Miyuki...

Miyuki...

didn't that mean like beautiful happiness? But didn't Yuki mean snow? He looked at the girl, smiling and jokingly hitting Nana's forearm. Like she could bring him beautiful happiness, he scoffed. Igarashi had never met the girl, not even exchanged a single word even if she was in the other class. What were her motives? She probably had some dark evil reasons for being all over the blond boy. It's not like she could genuinely like him and just so happen to fall in love with him. Igarashi shook his head, what was he even thinking about. He was pathetic. He had lost his best friend and he was blaming it on a random innocent girl.

"Igarashi?" Serinuma poked his arm with a worried look.

"Ahh yeah, sorry. Did you say anything?" he looked at the purple-haired girl sitting beside him.

"You tend to zone out so I'm not surprised", a light chuckle escaped her mouth. "Can I borrow your notes?" she asked flicking her fingers in a nervous motion.

"Yeah, of course", he handed her his notebook. "Didn't you take any during class?"

"I couldn't focus", she sighed. "Last nights episode of Mirage Saga keeps flashing in my head, it was so cool!" she continued ranting about Shion and the show but Iga just returned to his thoughts. Since when did he stop caring about Serinuma? He had spent more time with her now than ever as the two were in the same class and Nishina had started to work on an art project between classes, Shinomiya-kun and Mutsumi-senpai had just stopped caring about Serinuma in a romantic way. With all the time that had passed by now and the fact that no one had really gotten close to the girl- it wasn't surprising that they had moved on. He was the one with the chance to get her heart now and he didn't take it. He didn't pull any smooth moves even with opportunities after opportunities hitting his face. All he could think about was Nana and their friendship being ruined after running away. Iga wished he could go back, just turn back time once to fix that mistake, then they could be friends again.
