Luna's POV
Feeling the water drip onto my foot, I open my eyes then sit up, looking around seeing nothing but a shadowy bathroom. After standing and stepping out of the tub, placing my feet on a cold, fuzzy and worn down rug, I reach up and wash my face in the sink, then hear a knock at the door. "Luna are you in there?" My whole body got cold Goosebumps and I quickly opened the door.
I only saw his smile and bright green eyes for only a few moments before he quickly pulled me in for a hug. "I told you I'd be here as soon as possible." Thomas had finally let go of me and handed me something that looked to be like a baseball bat. I couldn't quite see what he had handed to me due to how dark it was. "Come on let's get out of here" whispered Thomas. Without letting me speak he then grabbed my arm and lead me down the long and tall staircase. "Are you insane?" I spoke in a panic tone, yanking my hand away from him.
Stopped at the bottom of the staircase, he gave me a flustered look. "We need to go now!" He spoke sternly. "Thomas, come here, I'm sorry, please don't do this" our mother spoke out. Not listening to me or our mother, he grabbed my arm again and basically dragged me to the front door. I looked back and saw our mother stomping towards us frantically as Thomas tried prying the door open with his knife but apparently the door wouldn't budge. "Come on, come on, come on!" He shouted at the door.
I dropped the bat then I yanked him towards the window and opened it. Barefoot, I jumped out, standing in 7 inches of cold, fluffy white snow, I turn around and help him climb out. He quickly threw me upon his shoulders and started running towards his truck. He placed me over on the passenger side and then he jumped in the driver side, I looked out the window seeing our mother stand at the door with a red face, she stared at us, not moving a single muscle.
Thomas quickly skidded down the driveway, not looking back. "Are you okay little sis?" He said out of breath with a slight wheeze. "I'm fine bubby I promise" I lied to his face. I was cold, scared, and I didn't completely know what was going on. Nothing but silence fled through the inside of his small truck, miles down the road my eyes begin to get heavy. I had fallen asleep a few moments later.
