District's PVO
I had lost track of time. Of how many hours I had been hanging there. "Derek. Derek." I growled as I heard Scott's howl. "Derek!" And he howled sharply, his howl deeper then mine and Scott. I howled and our howls combined and the room trembled. "Run!" And I saw Scott fighting through the hunters.
I pulled hard and my hands came free and pulled the tape from my hip. I saw Derek was released. "Come on. We have a score to settle with Peter and Kate." And all three of us raced away, towards the surface and towards the battle.
I slammed to a stop and a arrow hit me in the shoulder. I roared, with more anger then pain and snapped it, pulling it out. Allison shot a flashbulb and Scott was blinded. I grabbed him and Derek and threw them towards the house but Kate shot me three times in the back.
Derek got four shots and Kate turned to Scott and pointed it at his head. Then the last savior we expected came. "Kate. Put the gun down." And I turned my head weakly to see Chris Argent, Allison's dad. "Stop it!" And I got shot in the knee and I groaned and Chris was furious. "Drop. It. Now Kate. We have a code."
And Kate laughed. "They're monsters! They don't have a code." And I glared at her. "Yes we do. But you broke it the moment you set fire to at least 10 humans and twice that many werewolves." And Chris glanced at Kate. "Is this true?" And she shrugged. "They're monsters."
And I roared angrily. "There were humans in that fire! Our entire family!" And Allison had her bow pointed at my neck. "Allison stop."
Chris said and suddenly Chris fell and knocked himself out on a rock. Scott and Derek were thrown. Kate was dragged inside by Peter.
Allison was followed by me and Scott. Peter had slashed Kate's throat and Allison screamed. "Allison. Run and find Stiles. He'll help you." Scott said and I growled and stared down Peter as I twisted my neck and changed.
Derek did the same and Scott was in the middle. We lunged and Scott was thrown back and Derek was slammed into the wall opposite from me. We nodded and both of us ran at Peter from either side and he changed and ducked, sending us flying into each other.
We wrenched him down towards the door but he threw me out and Scott followed after. We tumbled down. "Derek!" I screamed, and howled, desperate to hear something to tell me that he was alive still. I felt my anchor snap and I roared as Peter ran out but I didn't see Derek. "I HATE YOU!" And I roared and slammed into him, slashing and beating him.
"Back off!" Stiles yelled and threw something at me. I dodged and the explosion of fire sent me back. I screamed as I saw the house burning down again. I felt Derek's arms wrap around me and I hid my head in his shirt and tried to ignore Peter's roars of pain.
Soon he was burned beyond repair and the fires were out. I walked over to him and my claws came out. I stood above him and my claws came down and his blood covered the ground around him. "For Laura. For our parents. For our old pack. For everyone who died in that fire."
I said and glanced at Derek. He nodded slowly and I looked at the rest and felt my eyes change and my arm muscles rippling more.
"I'm the Alpha now." And my eyes burned red. Derek calmly knelt and raised his forearm over his head. "Get up idiot." I said and hugged him tightly. Derek hugged me so tight I thought my ribs would crack.
That's coming from a werewolf mind you.
I looked over and saw Allison drawing her bow back. "If you leave us alone, we'll leave you alone." I said and Derek grunted and nodded in assurance. I caught the arrow and raised my eyebrows. I snapped it in half. "I'm an alpha now. You'll have to do better then that." I said.
Allison growled angrily. "Let's go." And Chris hurried her away to their car. Stiles and Jackson stood behind us and I turned around and my eyes were still glowing red. "Never use fire when I'm around again or I'll rip your throat out with my teeth."
I snapped at Stiles and he rolled his eyes and I punched him. He grunted. "With the exception of the Blowtorch." And I walked into the house, followed by Derek.
The rest walked away. Jackson drove Stiles and Scott home. Scott leaped out and walked home like nothing happened. Stiles trudged into his house and shut the door.
Jackson turned around and drove back to the Hale house. District looked at him. "Do you want it?" And he nodded. She turned and sunk her fangs into his hip and turned back. "I'll see you later. Tell me if it doesn't work by the next full moon." And he nodded. "I will."
And District smiled. "You better. Now get going. We have school tomorrow." And she shoved him gently out the door and shut it.
At 7am...
The first thing Scott noticed was District wearing a leather jacket that was Derek's but with the collar folded down so you could see the top of her tattoo. She was wearing jeans and a muscle shirt underneath the jacket. The next thing he noticed, was a person following her. Isaac Lahey, the son of the former swim team coach. Isaac followed her and smirked at Scott as he walked past. It was obvious that she had changed him, but why? Scott thought as he went into history class. District sat in the back and Isaac sat in front of her. They talked quietly as the teacher came in.
They stopped talking and Isaac smiled sugary sweet at Scott and he growled. "Careful McColl." District breathed. Scott ignored her. But Isaac was her partner for everything and he listened in. "Stop listening McColl, or you're dead." Isaac growled. District disappeared with Isaac after 3rd period and they were out on the lawn practicing lacrosse. Scott could see Derek and Aria on the bleachers, watching.
The one question that burned in Scott's mind as he walked back was... But why?
