Liam had arrived downtown. He was starting to feel hungry. He went to a pizza restaurant in the center of the downtown part of the city. He went in and went to the counter to order. The counter waiter looked at him, she was an elderly lady with dark gray hair, Liam thought she was kind of scary.
"Can I help you?" she said.
"I'd like a smaill cheese pizza please." Liam said.
The lady made the pizza in about 10 minutes. When it was done she gave it to Liam and he ran.
"Hey! Get back here! You didn't pay, theif!" The lady said.
Liam kept running, he jumped on his skate board and road into an alleyway. He ate his pizza and threw it in a dumpster in the alley. When he looked in the dumpster he was shocked, frightened, terified. There was body in the dumpster. It was a young girl, maybe 15 or 16. She had sctratches all over her neck. She was dead. He wanted to call the police, but he knew he would get in trouble for being downtown. He started investigating the area and suddenly a can fell out of a garbage can. It scared him, but he realized it was nothing but an old can. Then he heard a voice in his head say.
stop trying
He continued to here the voice. He kept responding with.
"Stop trying what!? Who are you!?" Liam said repetitively.
He ran out of the alley in fright. He thought he was brave enough to handle this case, but after seeing an actual dead person. He didnt think he would ever go back again. He went back home. His dad had alrwady gone home, but had police looking for Liam because he had been gone for to long.
"Where have you been?" Paul said.
"No where! Sorry im late!" Liam said.
"Go to your room.." Paul said.
Liam went to his room. He tried to sleep, but everytime he thought about what he saw it gave him nightmares. He couldn't sleep. He still had the files of the case he wanted to solve. He read more of it. He read all of it several times. He still did not know the detail s he needed to. He was going to solve it, and he planted that inside of his head.
