Chapter 2: End of the Car Ride/ Day 1

                “Li we’re here. Li Li wake up. C’mon Lila you gotta get up.” I hear as I slowly open my eyes. I find that my head is resting in Harry’s lap and that he is playing with my hair while saying this to me in his deep sleepy voice. I sit up and rub my eyes. “Good girl.” He says while smiling.

“How did I manage to end up on your lap?” I say yawning.

                “You know just as much as I do Li. I woke up and you were on my lap.” He says chuckling to himself.

                “What time is it?” I say tiredly.

                “ I don’t know, but it’s late, we should probably go inside with the others so we can go to bed.” He says yawning. I look around to see that we are the only ones left in the car.

                “Good idea.” I say unbuckling myself then heading out the door.

                “I see sleeping beauty decided to get up!” Lou says when we walk through the door.

                “Ha-ha, so funny Lou.” I say sarcastically.

                “Yeah I know.” He says smiling to himself. They are all sitting in the living room with our luggage waiting for us.

                “Ok,” My dad says “We can now discuss our sleeping arrangements. Ok, I will sleep in my room on the main floor, Paul will be sleeping in the room next to mine, Lila you are sleeping upstairs in your room, Eleanor and Danielle you will share a room upstairs with two beds if that’s ok, and the boys can spread themselves out however they’d like in the 2 rooms downstairs. I’ve made these plans in the interest of everyone, and if you want to change it, then you can switch.” My dad says proud of his arrangement. We have a very large cabin compared to the size of our house. It really makes no sense, because it’s usually just us or sometimes I bring my friends up or whatever. For some odd reason my dad saw this cabin, and absolutely needed to have it. Now we have an unnecessarily large cabin. It works perfect for times like this though!

                “Can Harry and Niall switch with Dani and El so we can be with our girlfriends?” Louis asks.

                “Umm sure, just as it’s ok with everyone.” My dad says a little sad that his arrangement was already changed. Everyone agrees that it’s ok and we all head off to our rooms after giving our goodnights. I walk up to my bathroom and brush my teeth. Then I go into my room and unpack.

I see the picture of Ben and me in my nightstand. Why does he always suspect the worst of me? Did he actually think that I would do that? Does he know me at all? I have never even had a sip of alcohol in my entire life, and I’m 18. I know people who go to ragers every weekend and get drunk out of their minds. I’ve put up with his jealously for a little over 3 years, but it’s getting a little old. Oh well, I love him and nobody’s perfect right? He just doesn’t want me cheating on him, which I can see where he’s coming from, but sometimes it just feels like too much, like I’m a prisoner, like everything I do is closely monitored all the time… I don’t’ know. All I know is that I’m very tired, so I slip into my bed and drift off to sleep.

“Oh Li Li, if you don’t get up soon I’ll eat your bacon!” I hear Niall say laughing.

“He’s serious Li, if you want that bacon you better get up!” Harry says seriously lightly shaking me.

“Ok, fine, I’ll get up.” I say half awake.

“Good because I would feel bad if he ate your bacon.” Harry says smiling.

“I wouldn’t!” Niall says laughing. I get out of bed to see Harry leaning against the doorway waiting for me. Niall must have run downstairs, man he’s impatient. Harry is shirtless and wearing a pair of old sweatpants. I’m surprised he has any clothes in at all! Let’s just say he enjoys being naked.

“C’mon Li you look great!” He says grabbing my hand and running me down the stairs into the kitchen.

“Well good morning my wonderful little sister!” Louis said giving me a hug.

“Good morning Li; surprisingly Niall saved you your bacon. You’re very lucky.” Liam says smiling.

“Morning Lila!” each of the girls say while giving me a hug. I was of course the last to get up.

“Where’s my dad and Paul?” I say while sitting down to eat my bacon and a cup of coffee.

“They went down to get the boat ready. They still have some things to do before we can leave so we have a little while.” Liam explains to me.

“Oh, ok, sounds good!” I say finishing off my coffee. Since we have some time, I decide to take a shower.

After I shower, get dressed, and such, I check my phone to see I have 3 messages and 2 missed calls, all from Ben.

Ben:) : Good morning my sunshine!

Ben:) :Hello Lila you there?

Ben:) :Lila, I’m starting to get worried… Please answer me.

And the messages weren’t much better. Just because I don’t check my phone every 5 minutes, doesn’t mean I’ve been abducted by aliens! I text him back,

Me: Sorry babe I just forgot to check my phone! No need to worry! :)

Then I add,

Me: Oh and I might not answer much today because I will be on our boat and having fun JSYK!

Then he texts back,

Ben:) : Ok hun, be safe, have fun.

I put my phone away right before Harry walks in.

“It’s time to go!” Harry says excitedly.

“You know you can knock right?” I say sarcastically.

“Yeah I know, I just choose not to.” He says giving me a smirk as he walks out the door.

“I’ll keep that in mind.” I say to myself. I come out then we all leave and go on the boat. We decide to leave the tubing for another day, and we just go around the chain of lakes. We are having so much fun, I’m surprised it’s not criminal. We have the music cranked and we’re dancing around like idiots. We also swim in the cold lake every once in a while.

We are out all day and decide to go back home for dinner because no one really wants to deal with paparazzi or fans tonight.

We get back to the cabin and change into regular clothes. Then comes the hard part, deciding what to eat. We all say things like tacos, hamburgers, spaghetti etc. but in the end we decide on pizza because it’s the easiest.

While waiting for the pizzas to get done, we all sit in the living room watching “The Price is Right.”, because there is absolutely nothing else on. Finally my dad tells us the pizzas are ready and we all practically run to the kitchen. We had to make 7 pizzas and that was barely enough. After we are done eating, and do the dishes, we all agree that we’re pretty tired so we all decide that its time to go to bed. We all say our goodnights and give each other a hug, and then we head off to our rooms.

After I brush my teeth and get changed, I check my phone for any new texts. There was a few from my friends which I quickly responded to, then I find the one from Ben.

Ben:) : Hey Lila, how was your day?

I really didn’t feel like starting a whole conversation so I just text back,

Me: Great! I think I had too much fun! I’m super tired so I’m going to head to bed. Goodnight!

Then he quickly responds,

Ben:) : oh, ok goodnight then.

                I put my phone on my dresser, and flop into my bed so tired that it’s hard to function much anymore, then I fall dead asleep.
