When the words no longer rhyme
And all you have is time.
But you don't own time really,
And you're not seeing clearly.
What do you do then?
Trade a pencil for a pen?
Permanent ink to stain your skin
As you let everything sink in.

With only your own heartbeat
To make up for the love you once had.
Now you're being driven mad
By people you don't even know,
While you're freezing in the snow.
The paved streets blend together.
This is your forever.
