Wrong Way
Chapter 1: Nowhere to Go
I ran down the dark, wet alley I take to get home. Tony was starting to catch up, but I was only a mile from home. We go to Northmore High School, and we don't get a ride from our parents. They always work, so when I get home, Mom won't be there.
"We should take a break, we've been running for twenty minutes," Tony insisted.
"Fine, but only five minutes! We still have three quarters of a mile," I reminded him.
He popped two soda cans from his bag. We both opened the cans, and took a gulp.
"When will Mom's shifts change? It's already been a year," Tony asked.
"Not a full year," I replied, "We have seven more days 'till New Year's Eve."
He sighed, then took another gulp. We both got up,and started walking. Tony was staring at an empty sidewalk.
"Get back," Tony yelled he pushed me back down the alley, spilling my soda, "Mike, you could've died!"
I looked at him, then the empty sidewalk, "what could've killed me?"
He pointed at a man with a large coat, and a shaggy, black beard. I looked at Tony, then the man. I was confused. What could that man have done to me? I gave him the let's go sign, and he followed. The man started coughing, like he was trying to get my attention. I turned, but I didn't see him. When I turned back, he hopped on me!
"Hide, seven days! You only need to avoid them! Seven days," the man yelled.
He was gripping on my shirt, what Tony did was throw the soda can at him.
"They have a symbol like this," he showed me an illuminati symbol.
"Avoid their brainwashes," he added. A bunch of police officers jumped out of a bakery with jelly on their trimmed beards.
"Sorry, this man caused a disturbance, we will take it from here,"
The man with the coat grabbed a pocket knife and started carving the illuminati symbol in my arm, for a reminder. I was startled, and ran with Tony. We were a mile away from the house. Then, I met my first illuminati human being, or I wouldn't say human. He was wearing a cloak, and sunglasses. Maybe to hide his identity?
"Hey, he has the illuminati on his eye," Tony shrieked.
"What? How do you know that?" I asked.
Tony pointed to his right eye. Then, the monster smiled and started walking faster.
"Want to start running again?" I asked.
Tony nodded, and we both took off. The monster was going at an unbelievable speed. When it thought it caught up, Tony and I went in different directions. The normal Scooby-Doo scenario. We met back up at the forest, but that was a bad idea.
Some people came out of the bark from the trees, others came from the ground.
"What the heck? How did they do that?" Tony cried.
We looked around, trying to find a gap. Nothing.
"Come on, we just want you to die! It'll be fun," one of them shrieked.
Okay, these monsters are after me, not Tony. Two: I don't know what they want. Three: They all have questions.
"I showed my bloody illuminati mark, I didn't know what would happen. It glowed yellow, and...Well, sucks to be y'all. I'm not finishing this story! Unless you want me to...
Well, this was crap.
