you're still better than my real friends.

bringing myself off my bed after shutting off my phone, i began heading downstairs to grab some food. pouring a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch, i couldn't help but smile that i had the whole day to myself for fall break. in kentucky, it is raining lightly. in north carolina, it is hot. in nebraska, it is windy and very chilly. but here, it is just... nothing.

my family likes to travel a lot. that's the perk of having separated parents, i guess. whenever we travel, i look up the weather into my phone and it saves. so i figure out this stuff by just scrolling through the app itself. the second my dad gets a break, it's like we're gone to a cornfield in indiana or at a museum in oregon. not like there's much else in either of those states. my mom is the same way. i'm lucky to have parents that have different schedules but like to go places, most parents don't do that.

anyways, if you couldn't tell, my brain is all over the place. my therapist says it's ADD. i think it's that i ate too many fruit snacks as a kid. heck, i still eat too many. regardless, once i put away the cereal box, i carried myself and the bowl back up the stairs and into my room. opening my laptop, i'm bombarded with emails from online stores and notifications from skype. spooning my food into my mouth, i cleared every email and closed every bubble with a number saying "ding ding, you weren't on your computer and here's what happened". it's funny that i do this, i hate organizing things. it makes me feel like a control freak.

eventually, i got to my phone again. you could imagine why i don't like phones if you just looked it mine. there is a huge crack right down the center of my phone and tiny spider-web cracks on the glass in little areas. regardless, i use it to call my parents and check the weather. my friends are ok. they don't seem to interested in me outside of school.
