"We serve under Samael," Miguel began, "one of the big names down in Hell. If you're wondering why we're here, it's simple: we're building an army."
"F-for what?"
"Honestly? I don't know."
I was amazed at this. I never thought Miguel would ever be the type of person to be kept in the dark. But then–
"But if there's one thing for sure: never fully trust a demon. They're always lying, even your boss."
Took the words right out my mouth.
Miguel then went on to explain what each of his crew does. Trixie is an Enchanter but a chemist at heart and loves to steal from others. Olivia's a succubus (if that isn't already obvious) with muscle for some reason. Paul's actually a "War Demon" – the kind who are supposed to be at the front lines fighting angels and such – but he prefers to be an incubus with offensive capabilities. I didn't even want to know how he's able to bypass authority with his actions. But they're demons so that alone may be the answer. Miguel himself is a Spell Caster – a master of all things magic and its various facets.
"Regardless," Miguel continued, "we're to build an army and remain on standby once we think we've reached a suitable number."
"And how many is that?"
"Considering how ill-equipped humanity is against our kind at the moment, I'd say around a hundred will do fine. And that's already overkill if you ask me."
"You plan to take over the world?"
Miguel scoffed at my words. "Oh please, we're not that cliché anymore. Humanity does enough damage to itself and yet they persist. If I'm being honest, we're essentially out of jobs these days and this is the least we can do."
"Wow, even demons get bored?"
"Pretty much."
Trixie cuts our conversation short. "Hey! There you guys are." She stops near us, catching her breath.
"Paul didn't tell you where we were?" Miguel asked.
"That fucking bastard was too busy frolicking with his new fucking bodyguards to even bother! And I can't fucking teleport just yet so I had to fucking run all the way back here with these fucking groceries!"
Yeah, Trixie is quite foul-mouthed when she's angry. Miguel calmed her down and we went back to Olivia. I apologized to Trixie for leaving her hanging but she understood. I asked her what my role will be in all of this and all she said was "It will all be revealed in due time." She said as she waved her hands over her face.
As soon as we arrived, Olivia gave me a big hug and dug my face into her breasts. "I missed you so much, my little boy! Did Miguel already tell you everything?"
"Jth gth m oth of heer!"
"Hmm?" Upon realizing the predicament I was in, she finally allowed me to breathe. "Oh right. There you go."
"BWAH!" I said as I took in a big helping of air. "No, Miguel hasn't told me everything yet."
"I see. Then allow me to share one tiny detail: Paul and I are actually related."
So that's why they don't hit on each other, I thought to myself. But they're demons, so shouldn't incest be no problem for them? I never bothered to ask.
"I mean," she continued, "don't get me wrong, Paul is hot and all, but I'd rather be with someone less familiar. Get my drift?"
I didn't bother to answer that and changed the topic. "Anyway, how's our class doing?"
