We head over to the nearest KFC in an Uber to eat lunch. Almost everyone gets out of the car except for me and Finn. Nobody has paid yet, so I get out my wallet. Finn sets his hand on mine and says, “I got it.” I reply with, “Thanks.” and get out.

When I step inside the restaurant, a couple of heads turn my way. I should probably get used to this. I think to myself. It’s not like these people know who I am at the moment, but they will soon. Then I feel a tap on my shoulder. It was Sophia. “Stop looking so paranoid, n/n, people are just worried that us teenagers will cause some disruption or something like that.” I nod slowly then proceed into line with Finn following behind me.

I go up to order and pay when I hear someone scoot up behind me and then tap me. I look behind me to only see Finn, but then turn around quickly when I feel another tap to the side of me and then I realize it was just the prankster Jack. I look at him, smile, and say, “What are you doing?” he replies first by chuckling then saying, “Just paying for a cute girls meal in hopes that she’ll notice me.” I look at him with wide eyes and then say, “Oh, u-um, it's really o-ok Jack.” I say with a chuckle.

Oh God, I already feel my cheeks burning up, but why?

Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh. I think I like Jack. He says, “Yea of course,” then proceeds to talk to the cashier, “I’ll just have popcorn nuggets and a large Cherry Coke.” (see what i did there?) The cashier looks at me, awaiting my response. “Oh, uh,” I say, looking like a total goof, “I’ll just have the same thing.” the cashier nods, then I walk away while he rings Jack up.

I find the 2 booths where everyone else is sitting and sit at the one that Sophia is sitting at. Next thing I know Jack and Finn come strolling up to the booth and sit down before I even have a moment to chat with Soph.

I look up and smile at them. Jack smiles back, but I didn't see Finn’s gorgeous smile. Wait what. I am starting to get a slight anxiety attack, so I pull Sophia with me to the bathroom. When we get in there I start talking at least a mile a minute.

“Soooo basically in the Uber when all of you guys left it was just me and Finn left, right? So I get out my money to pay since all of you other lazy bums were too, you know, LAZY, but when I tried to pay the Uber driver, Finn put his hand on mine and is all like, ‘I got this.’ and then in my head I'm just like ‘Coo (l), coo (l)’ and then when I walk inside Jack says that I’m cute and pays for my meal and now I think I like them both…” All I remember seeing last is Sophia's mouth hanging wide open. Then I passed out right there on the bathroom floor.
