What the fuck?
I glare at his back as he trudges into the house, his shoulders sagging as he slowly makes his way to the stairs. What the fuck just happened?
I try to figure out what is going on, and why he stopped. I mean, I know his dad interrupted us and was complaining about Chi, but why didn't he finish his question. I follow him into the house, trying to catch up to his sulking form as he makes his way up the stairs to his bedroom. I make it there a few seconds after him, slamming the door closed behind me.
He doesn't turn at the sound although Chi jumps up from his bed, which she is lying on top of. She starts barking excitedly, leaping down to the ground to run circles around Shills before she runs over to me, licking at my skinny jeans before she starts running around me. I want to sweep her into my arms and kiss her furry little head but I have to finish this first.
"Ask me the question." I demand, not in the mood to sweet talk him through this.
He doesn't even acknowledge me, instead walking over to the desk pressed along the right wall and sitting down in the rollie chair.
"Ask me the question, Shills!" I demand again, not willing to let this go.
"You have your dog," he sighs loudly, still not looking at me. "Shouldn't you be going now?"
My mouth drops open at his casual dismissal, but now I refuse to leave. "No, I shouldn't. And I'm not going to until you ask me."
"Aren't you supposed to be pissed at me?" Shills groans, rolling his head back to glare at the ceiling. "Why don't you go be pissed at your own house?"
"I'll be pissed right here, thank you very much!" I huff, recrossing my arms over my chest. "I'll sleep here if I have to!"
"Your dad would surely kill me if you did that." I think I see a faint smile on his face, but I'm not sure if I'm imagining it.
I smile at that, figuring out that my dad must have taken him into his office to threaten him. "That's something I'm willing to risk."
Shills sighs again as he sits up on the chair, finally looking at me. "Why don't you want to leave anymore?"
I stop to think about for a second. Why don't I want to leave? I mean, just 10 minutes ago I would have jumped at the chance to take Chi and get the hell away from Shills. But...I don't know. This uncaring attitude he's suddenly throwing at me is making me think something is wrong.
"I just want you to know that..." I can't find the right words to say, everything that comes to mind sounding incredibly cheesy and unlike me. "Just ask me the question, Jude."
His face crunches into a carefully placed frown. "If you already know the question why don't you just give me an answer?"
"Because we both know I don't work like that!" I laugh, casually walking over to stand next to the rollie chair.
Shills looks at me carefully, his lips opening and closing repeatedly. "D-do you wa-wanna be my gir-girl?"
I smile at the awkward question, somewhat expecting his smooth persona to take over and sweep me off of my feet. But this way it seems more like...more like him.
I lean down and kiss him gently on the forehead, breathing in the sweet scent of his shampoo. "It's about time you asked."
I gasp as he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into his lap. He tucks his forehead into the crook of my neck, a deep sigh tickling my skin. I rest my head on his hair, relaxing into his hug.
"So what do we do from here?" He asks, his words almost muffled since his face is partially pressed into my shirt.
I don't have an immediate answer for this either, knowing that a relationship between the two of us is going to have a lot of obstacles. But the slight trembling of his hand that's resting on my thigh tells me that he doesn't want to hear any of this just yet.
I lean back just far enough to kiss his forehead again before I start stroking his hair lightly, trying to calm his anxiety. "We just focus on us. That's all we need to do right now; and then the rest will fall into place."
He nods along to my response, although I'm not sure if he believes it. I don't even know if I do.
A/N It's short, I know! But what do you think? Is this the reaction you were expecting from Killer? Were you expecting yelling, and cursing, and tears, and the flames as her anger burns down the entire neighborhood??
Well there's still plenty of time for that 😂😂😂😂
But what do you think is going to happen from here? I mean, they're dating now. Do you think internal, or external problems are going to drive a wedge between them? Or do you think they're at that point where they're done with the bullshit and are just down for each other?
You'll just have to wait and see!
In the meantime, comment, like and follow me!
Much Love,
