He is the one

Trisha and Lilly held each others hands as they walk into the large brick building. Trisha was wearing a dark blue work suit and her black short hair up in a bun. Lilly wearing a skirt and a blouse with her pink hair curled slightly . Trisha was a little nervous but Lilly couldn't be more existed. after earth was destroyed thousands of human children were brought to the giant's planet orphaned.

Lilly and Trisha walked inside and signed in. and there they saw a large room with a window looking out onto a large playroom full of small children no bigger then dolls. there were other couples around watching the children play from the window or going in and getting to know some of the kids. Lilly was bursting with joy at all the tinys and couldn't wait.

"I cant believe how cute they are I want them all" Lilly exclaimed as she pressed her face against the window gaining a few odd stairs from kids and other adults.

Trisha pulled Lilly back from the glass and whispered in her ear "please calm down were in public and these kids are fragile we don't want to scare or hurt them".

Lilly nodded and grabbed her wife's hand walking through the door to the play room before Trisha knew it Lilly was gone playing with some kids.

Trisha couldn't help but laugh as she looks around to find Lilly on the ground with a bunch of tinys climbing her like a jungle gym. it was a rare sight and Trisha wish she had her camera. in the corner of her eye she saw a kid sticking out from the rest a kid sitting in the corner. looking at the floor when she looked back at Lilly a tiny worker had come and was yelling at the kids for being rude and playing on Lilly she bowed and apologized Lilly got up and walked back to Trisha smiling.

"I got to go to the bathroom you keep looking for the perfect one" she walked off

Trisha's eyes back to the sad looking child in the corner and without thinking her legs began to move on there own walking towards the tiny. Trisha casts a shadow over hos small frame but he dose not look up even though he knew she was there..

"mind if I sit here?" the tiny shrugged and said nothing she sat next to him on her knees so not to reveal up her skirt

"my names Trisha what's yours ?" he says nothing and shrugs again

"so your names shrug?" he looked up confused and a little mad and shakes his head

"so shrugs why are you not playing with the other kids?" no response

"what's wrong shrugs?" still nothing but she heard I'm mumble something

"I'm sorry what was that shrugs?" she couldn't help but chuckle at her joke he lets out a annoyed sigh and says "jimmy" she almost didn't hear him she smiles down at him and goes to touch him but he flinches and backs away a bit she moves her hand back and sighs.

"are you gonna answer my question ? why are you not playing with the others?"

"dumb" was all he said her smile soon faded

"its not dumb it fun here ill play with you?"

"no... that's not it..."

she was confused and smiled "want to talk about it I promise not to tell anyone.

he looked up into her eyes to see if she was telling the truth and saw nothing but someone who was concerned and reaching out.

he sighed "its dumb trying to play and act like everything's okay when its not were acting like dogs trying to attract owners to buy us its disgusting"

"ya I can se how that would be" she responded

Trisha didn't know how to respond he was kinda right but she wanted to show that's not how the parents see it.

"Trisha!" Trisha looks up to Lilly calling for her and waving she looked down at jimmy to see him blushing slightly at her

"who is she ?"he said softly

"oh that's my wife" Trisha responded with a hint of pride in her voice

Lilly makes her way over and sits down on her knees "Lilly id like you to meet my new friend jimmy"

Lilly puts out her hand to shake his and smile "hi jimmy I'm Lilly nice to meet you" he shook her hand and was baffled how she these two were not looking for a pet or a plaything but a child to love.

"do you think he's the one?"Lilly asked a little excited

"I don't know what do you think jimmy?"

jimmy looked up on the verge of tears "if I come with you will you promise to treat me like a person and not a pet? or like am less then you?" Trisha was baffled by the question but before she could say anything Lilly showed him her pinky

"I pinky promise"

he wrapped his pinky around hers and Lilly picked him up and hugged him and he hugged her back

"lets go home " he smiled and just kept repeating "home " tears of happiness flow down his face and Trisha wiped them away and they both kissed his cheeks and giggled he blushes and hugged Lilly tightly.
