Wonwoo is clutching a mug of iced coffee, taking a sip on it occasionally once the strike of thirstiness reaches him. Soonyoung, sitting cross-legged at one of the empty chairs with a table, watches a Maine Coon stare at him, almost trying to recognize which human this is now. The older couldn't help but smile and wave at it like it's going to wave back at him at least, and it didn't of course, it ignored him before running into one of the cats to play.
Soonyoung can only sigh at disappointment before judging the cold drink Wonwoo was currently nursing. "Why the hell are you drinking iced coffee? It's literally the middle of December and it's fucking freezing." Soonyoung proved his point by rubbing deliberately at both of his arms, before acting and blowing a puff of air and shivering nonstop. He honestly looked like an idiot, and he could see Wonwoo laugh at him like he always does.
Wonwoo was covered in layers of coats, and wore a scarf on, but that doesn't mean that he'd already drink iced coffee, if anything, his hands should be clasped with a warm beverage of some sort. Like any other normal human being does once it's winter.
"It's because I'm starting to get hot." Said Wonwoo, all the while ignoring every walking creature that tries to seek his attention.
Soonyoung scoffed, abandoning the table he was in and walking to Wonwoo's spot, taking the hot cocoa and sitting on the chair in front of his boyfriend. He experimentally sniffs at the liquid before sighing as it smelled good. Good enough for an empty stomach I guess, he thought, hovering his lips over the cup before taking a hesitant sip. Surprisingly, it tastes as good as it looked at the menu.
("What did you order for me?" Soonyoung asked, petting a cat hesitantly before grinning as the feline blinked at him at first, and finally, purred in delight.
"Hot cocoa," Wonwoo answered, "the picture looked good at the menu so I figured it would taste well." He added, nodding to himself.)
It must have showed in his face because Wonwoo raised an eyebrow, smirking once he gets things in his life right. "Tastes good right?" He asked, like he's been here for the hundredth time and knows how each drink tastes. There weren't any food to order at all, probably because the cafe doesn't trust any customer. And who knows? Maybe Soonyoung would give in once a cat asks for food as he eats. So there were only drinks, Milo drinks and everything necessary.
"Yeah, yeah." Soonyoung rolled his eyes and discreetly tried to kick his boyfriend's shin under the table. It didn't end successful at all, and Soonyoung kicks empty air instead of flesh, and if anything by the smug smirk on Wonwoo's lips, he figured the younger knew it was coming his way.
The older of the two cleared his throat, and all smiles in his face disappeared, earning a slightly nervous look from Wonwoo. "Uh, Wonwoo..." Wonwoo hummed in response, looking down at his drink and biting the end of the straw. "It's about our plans this Christmas?" Soonyoung didn't know why it came out as a question instead of a statement, but it was probably him not anticipating what Wonwoo's reaction would be.
"What about it?" Wormwood questioned back, stirring his iced coffee with the straw deliberately and staring at the now melting ice.
"I think... things wouldn't go as planned. "
"Why?" He frowned.
"Well. . ." Soonyoung hesitated, placing his drink on the table before locking his hands together. Wonwoo spent christmas with Soonyoung eight years straight, being his childhood friend, so it would be a rare occurence to not catch even a glimpse of Soonyoung on a christmas day, much less in the new year.
"It's about my family. . . they wanted me to spend christmas in there, Namyangu."
"Oh."
Does Soonyoung have a problem with having a cat as a pet?
