The hooded figure stood watching what was unfolding below him upon the hill. No features were visible for the cloak he wore was enchanted not to show any while the hood was up. Next to him a shorter, slimmer figure stood watching with him.
"Are they it?" The shorter figure asked. The voice was that of a women laced with tenderness. Her features were also cloaked the same way as the taller man next to her, by about three feet
"They are" he answered roughly, his voice was deep and inhuman.
"Then it is time?"
"It is. Is she safe?" He asked with great concern.
"She is"
A moment passed before either of them spoke nor moved. Then turning towards him she asked...
"Are you sure there is no other way?"
"Yes" he said turning to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. "This is something I have to do" his arm was an ashy grey color and his nails like claws and blackened like charcoal
She reached up and clasped his forearm gently
"Just make sure you come back alive" her voice quivered. He nodded affirmatively before disappearing in a grey mist before her eyes, leaving her alone on the top of the hill
