Will Love Really Conquer It All?

chapter 5: the beach

  After class Elizabeth stood up but right away, Ben grabbed her hand and said "let's go". He didn't even look at her but she followed him. She felt a bolt of electricity run through her body just by his touch. She didn't know that he could have such an affect on her. Once they reached the student parking lot. She let go of Ben's hand and he turned around and faced her.

Elizabeth's POV:
   I let go of Ben's hand because I didn't know where we were headed. The minute I let go, he turned around and faced me. "Where are you taking me?" I asked. I took a step back from him. "I'm taking you to your car. I don't have one so I was going to ask you if you could drive us to the beach" was all Ben said before he looked up at me. I was shocked at his response but then realized my car was behind him. I felt my cheeks turn red. "Oh, okay you could have told me before you dragged me here". Once I said that, I regretted it right away. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. I just wanted to get out quickly before the halls filled with people" he said. I looked puzzled but he was right. We were let out a bit early but once the bell rang, everyone would run out. "Thanks umm..shall we go?" was all I told him. He nodded and we both walked to my car.
  Ben's POV:
While Elizabeth and I walked to her car. I was thinking to myself on why I grabbed her hand and dragged her to her car. Maybe because I didn't want anybody to bump into her. I didn't want her to get hurt. I felt bad though. I think I grabbed her a bit to hard. Once we entered her car she asked "where are we headed once we get to the beach?". Instead of answering her question, all that came out of my mouth was "sorry for hurting your hand". She smiled and said "it's okay, I'm okay. Now where are we going once we reach the beach?". I gave her instructions on where to go. Once we arrived, we stopped near a big gate blocking the way. I noticed two guards by the gate. "Dad added a gate. Great." was all thought until my thoughts were broken by a knock on my window. "Umm...Ben are we in trouble. Most importantly, are we trespassing?" was all Elizabeth said before I got out of the car to talk to the guard. The guard and I walked to the gate. He asked "Hello kid. I don't think you know you are trespassing private property?". I looked straight at the guard and said "Sir, I didn't know I was trespassing my family beach  house". He looked shocked but I pulled out my phone and call my father. I explained the situation. The minute he hung up. The guard got a call "let my son and the girl in you idiot". "Yes sir" was all he said. He apologised and I told him not to say anything in front of the girl. I went back to the car and the minute I did, the gates opened. "Let's go in" I told Elizabeth. She looked confused but drove inside the property.
