She stood in her room, applying some light makeup when there was a knock at the door. She walked to her bedroom door slowly, only to realize that the knock didn't originate at her door.

She peeked around the door frame, using her hands to support herself. She realized it was coming from the front door and travelled to open it. She skipped the last step, landing on her feet, and walked calmly to the door.

When she opened it, he stood there. She had no ideas about how he found her address, but was not scared. She would probably ask him later.

She invited him inside with a warm smile on her face, welcoming him into her home. They hadn't talked since that night, which was unusual for how outgoing she was. Whenever she got someone's number, she'd text or call them within the following two or three days.

This time, she didn't. It had already been a week before they had talked last, and though he did not seem even slightly fazed by this, she was nervous, now, about why he was here.

"Hey. Not to sound rude or anything, but why are you here?" she questioned.

"I guess I missed you," he said, rubbing the back of his neck and looking in another direction, clearly trying to conceal his obvious blush.

She was flattered, to say the least. Someone, miss her? That was unusual. Even her parents didn't check in as often as they should've. They'd been gone for about six days now, still with no call.

They were negligent of her. They have been for a while. They cared, but sometimes, with how much travelling they were doing, it was hard to stay in contact.

She had also become distant. Her... past wasn't pretty. She was losing faith everyday, and when this came to notice, she wasn't herself anymore. It seemed as if everything came down like rain and started to drown her.

Let's just say, she would never be the Amelia everyone knew and loved.
