Did you know it wasn't real?
You knew my tendencies, but life's wrath,
Did you know won't let me heal.

This is me.

You know my kindness, you know my hope,
Did you believe the latter?
You knew my writing, at least the scope,
Until my mirage did my poems shatter.

This is me.

You know my will, you know my fight.
But not what i use it for.
You ignored the darkness, and focussed on light.
But just wait, you've yet to reach the core.

This is me.

Dig, dig deeper! Break my shell!
Do You have what it takes?
Burrow your way to my deepest hell.
Please! I dare You! You don't know the stakes.

This isn't me.

I know, that I wear a mask.
I know, that what lies beneath,
Is not what you want. Please, I ask.
You and I, don't want to see what's underneath.

I don't want to know that me.
