The Guild's Reunion

Lucy's POV

I wake up to the glaring sun in my eyes. I look around my apartment for any signs that Nastu or Happy were here. Sadly, there aren't any signs. Lately, they hadn't come by. I kind of miss them coming through my window.

After getting dressed, I walk to the guild hall in desperate need of a job. After Nastu destroyed the grand magic games, I explained how the guild had been disbanded. After he heard that, he dragged me off to find gramps leaving a, Nastu-Happy-Lucy sized hole in my apartment. All the traveling and repairs racked up a lot of debt, debt which I was still paying off.

When we finally found the master, Nastu and Happy challenged him to a battle. It was an epic showdown with many close calls. However, since Nastu trained some much, he just managed to beat him in a tournament of rock paper scissor. I mean talk about childish. Natsu, the one who was always looking to challenge the strongest wizards to a fight, decided to go with rock paper scissors of all things? Those idiots. I shook my head even just thinking about it.

After that, the master announce that Fairy Tail was back in business. Everyone came together within a few days. We mostly spent the whole time catching up and telling their awesome adventures to anyone that would listen. That and rebuilding the guild hall for what seemed like the millionth time. Serious, couldn't it just stay in one piece for once. I was so glad to see everyone again. Levi and Gajeel had gone off to join to magic council. Gray had goon and infiltrated a dark guild, scary if you ask me. But I spent most time catching up with Wendy. We talked about her time in Lamia Scale. It was also so funny to hear her stories when she was a part of the Sky Sisters with Sherria. That hold only been a few weeks ago.

I stepped into the newly built guild hall and shouted, "morning everyone!"

"Morning Lucy!" they shouted back. I love when they do that, I had certain missed it. I looked around before walked over to where Nastu and Lisanna were sitting., munching on Mira's cooking.

"Hey Nastu, do you want to do a job with me?" I asked.

He looked at me surprised, "sure!" He said getting up to go check the request board. We peered at the jobs looking one with a big reward. I snatched a request that asked us to hatch an egg, the reward was 70 thousand jewels! How lucky was that. A big payout for a simple job. If we split the reward, it would be 35 thousand each. That is if Nastu didn't go destroy something and we end up have to pay for collateral damage.

"Sorry Lucy none of these jobs sound interesting maybe later," he says scratching his head.

"Ok," I say sadly, "I forgot something in my apartment! Be right back!" I shouted as I ran out. As soon as I got to my apartment, I grabbed the gifts for my friends. I had saved up a thousand jewel for each of my friends hoping that they spend it on something important to them. I had planned to send them to everyone during the time when the guild had spilt up, but I never got to it. Everyone just steamed to disappear, making it hard to get in contact with them.

When I got back to the guild, I handed out the gifts. Unfortunately, I couldn't find Nastu or Lisanna anywhere.

"Hey Mira, where are Nastu and Lisanna?" I asked.

"Hey Lucy! There out on a job trying to hatch and egg," she replied.

That was the job I asked Nastu to do.

With that I left the guild heading back to my apartment.

I laid down on my bed wondering why Nastu went on the job with Lisanna and not me. My eyelids got heavy with sleep as I curled up into a ball. I'll ask Nastu when he gets back. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
