Lucy's POV

A few days later, I went back to the guild wanting to see if Nastu and Lisanna were back. As soon as I ended the guild, I saw team Nastu laughing quietly in the corner with Lisanna. I went up to Nastu and tapped him on the shouldered.

"Can we talk" I said quietly. We got up and moved away from the group.

"Why did you go on the job with Lisanna instead of me?" I asked.

"I had promised Lisanna that I would go on a job with her," he replied weakly.

I knew Nastu was lying by the way he kept looking away.

He sighed, "to make up for going on the job with Lisanna instead of you do you want to try finding a request of your choice?" He asked.

I nodded my head happy that I was going to finally get to go with Nastu. We ended up pick a request that involved destroying a dark guild because between the two of us we could easily accomplish that especially now that Nastu had gotten stronger.

~Time skip two days~

Nastu and I came back from our job with a few scrapes and bruises. The job was more complicated than we thought. We had to destroy the guild from within its ranks. In our first attempt to get inside I got captured and Nastu had to save me. This actually happened severally times before we decided that I should stay outside and keep watch while Nastu took on the guild. Eventually we got the reward, 50 thousand jewels, then headed home. Natsu had a surprising amount of control, we didn't need to pay for any damage much to my surprise.

Nastu's POV

I walked up to Lucy and tapped her shoulder. "Luce, did you do any training when Fairy Tail was disbanded?" I asked.

She said she had done a bit, but for the most part, just worked with Soccer Weekly. No wonder I had to save her so many times.

"Lucy, I'm sorry but I don't think being on team is a good idea anymore," I said, "saving you is getting old, and I can't do my job while worrying about you."

Lucy's POV

"Lucy, I don't want you on team Nastu anymore, saving you is getting old, I can't do my job while worrying about you"

I looked at him stunned, he just... kicked me off his team?

"It's fine I understand," I lied trying my best to hide my tears. I quickly excused myself, saying I was tried from the job, and left. As soon as I was out of the door, I went into a full-on sprint, letting my emotions free.

~Time skip, the next morning~

I studied the request board hoping to find a job that would take me far away from Nastu. I ended up grabbing an interesting looking job that had an onyx gate key as a reward. (I just made-up onyx gate keys by the way)

"Mira, I'm taking this one!" I called as I sprinted out the door eagar to leave the guild hall and get away from Natsu and the others.

~Time skip to after the job~

I study the gate key. I never knew that there were other coloured keys. Wendy peered over my shoulder noticing me study the key.

"You should try the key out," she suggests.

I walked to the park outside not wanting to interrupt the guild. Levy and Wendy decided to come along after all they have never witnessed a celestial wizard making their contracts. Levy even brough a pen and paper to write some notes.

"Open, gate of the Red Dragon," I chanted.

A thick cloud of smoke appeared when it clear there stood a massive red dragon.
