Prologue

A/n: just a quick note Incase you guys get confused, if it's in italics then it is in Spanish. But if it is a flashback it will be in italics too but I will let you know it is a flashback. Thank you for reading and enjoy!

     Our story begins thirteen and a half years ago when Jane Gloriana Villanueva and Mia Gloriana Villanueva were a mere ten years old. It should be noted that at a mere ten years old Jane's passions included, in no particular order, her family, God, and grilled cheese.

Mia's passions were identical to her sisters at that age, but as she got older their passions were different yet still similar. She loved grilled cheese and her family but God was not as important to her as it was Jane and her Abuela. She took more after her mother, Xiomara, who was currently sitting on the bed painting her nails. Her passions included The twins and Paula Rubio.

Their grandmother's, Alba Gloriana Villanueva, passions included God and then Jane and Mia. In that particular order.

"Notice how perfect it is." Alba began about the flowers in the twins hands. "How pure. Now mija, crumple it up."

"Really mom, this is so lame." Xiomara interrupted her mother's lesson.

"Mommy shh," Jane told Xiomara.

"Crumple the flower Jane and Mia." The twins look at the flowers in there hands for a moment and then crush them. "Now try to make it look new again. Go on." Mia and Jane try to fix the ruined flower in the palm if their hands but soon realize that was not possible.

"We cant." The twins stated in unison

"That's right. You can never go back. And that's what happens when you lose your VIRGINITY." In her peripheral vision Mia could see her mother rolling her eyes and became more comfortable, seeing as her mom wasn't as serious about it as her grandmother. "You can never go back. Never forget that."

Jane never did. She had framed the flower and hung it on a wall in her bedroom. Mia on the other hand was a different story. The twins could not have been more different in there teen and adult years.

A/n: thank you all for deciding to read this. I know it's not great. It is the first one that I have have ever written. I realized that there were literally no Jane the Virgin fan fictions on Wattpad and I wanted to change that, so here you go. I know this chapter is short but I am working on the next one and will hopefully get that to you by next week at the latest.

I'm gonna be on if those authors who wants to get to know their readers better by leaving questions at the end of each chapter.
