Chapter 6 Matthews pov

I hate lying to them but I have to. I remind myself that it's for tris, but that doesn't help. I want to tell tobias more than anything but I know I can't because I don't want to get his hopes up. I'm just not sure our plan will work. I tell everyone to go home and that we will have to reschedule. I need to get to the lab to help Caleb and Cara. So I leave as quickly as possible and I'm there before I know it. "How's it going?" I ask Caleb. "Good I think we've figured it out!" he tells me. I'm so glad. we have been working on the life serum since tris's death. It is a serum that will bring anyone back to life, even GD's. So we get to work. It's really hard trying to figure everything out. Serums are hard to make!

It took us two years but we finally did it! it's too bad we couldn't have it done by this morning because then I could have told everyone at the ash scattering ceremony. But now we are finally done and we can bring tris back to life again!

"Go get her ashes" I tell Cara. she nods her head and runs out the room. I take a deep breath in and a deep breath out and try to calm myself down.
